Rocket Raccoon and New Comic Release for July 2nd
We’ve got a pretty spectacular week of new release for you, spearheaded by the long awaited Rocket Raccoon #1 written and drawn by Skottie Young!
Here’s all the featured new releases for the week of Wednesday July 2nd, 2014!
After a slew of Young Baby Variants and a very successful run on adapting the Oz Books, Skottie Young will be bringing his talents to an All New Marvel NOW ongoing series!
Guardians of The Galaxy will be hitting theaters on Friday August 1st, but you can get this book now! Here’s another great mini trailer to tide you over!
To make sure you drag yourself into the shop we’ll be offering the Blank, Peterson Raccoon, Young (yes, he has his own variant apparently) and CASTELLANI STAN LEE LEGO variants for free while supplies last starting at noon this Wednesday!
As if that wasn’t enough, we’ve also got copies of the Rocket Raccoon FCBD Special back in stock and we’ll be handing them out free with a purchase of the regular title for anyone who hasn’t gotten one yet! Just ask at the counter when you check out!
But wait! There’s more! Legendary Star Lord #1 also comes out this week!
Like the punch to go with Rocket’s pie, Starlord #1 is by the creative team of SAM HUMPHRIES and PACO MEDINA. Humphries is one of my favorite up and coming superhero writers and it’ll be fun to see what he does with this tough luck antihero.
Marvel’s definitely stacking the deck this week, as you can also get Guardians of the Galaxy Galaxy’s Most Wanted #1 this week!
This one shot is set in Marvel’s Movie Universe and features a new Rocket Raccoon and Groot Story, also well as a reprint of a classic battle between Drax The Drestroyer and Thor! Whew. That’s alot of GOTG.
It’s like the 90’s are back with the start of this week’s new Deadpool Vs X-Force Mini Series!
Written by Duane Swierczynski and set before Deadpool’s first appearance in New Mutants #98! It will also featuring the first meeting of Cable and Deadpool.
Also this week is the start of the new series of Marvel 100th Anniversary Special’s! This week’s is Fantastic Four #1!
These specials will be set 100 years after the characters debut, so it’s 2061 and the world of the Fantastic Four has turned upside-down, complete with the granddaughter of Doom…and the Richards-Banner twins? Written by another favorite writer James Stokoe!
This week is also littered with some of the best new titles Marvel has put out from it’s All New Marvel NOW initiative. If you’re looking for something new try Moon Knight #5, Iron Fist #4, Magneto #5, or Black Widow #8. Original Sin #5 is this week too! (seriously, catch up on Moon Knight, it’s by Warren Ellis)
DC’s got some pretty cool stuff going on too, with the continuation of Doomed in Action Comics #33, Kevin Smith’s Batman 66 meets Green Hornet #2, and Scott Synder and Jim Lee’s epic Superman Unchained #7.
The stand out for me though, is Scooby Doo Team Up #5!
I don’t know what Wonder Woman and Scooby Doo could possibly have to say to each other, but I’m listening in. (that’s not even counting in Daphne and Velma’s Amazon training)
Finally, we’ve got a super discounted sale on some very select and hand picked DC Hardcovers!
