The Death of Wolverine on 10-15-2014

It’s true. Wolverine will die this week.

Here’s some featured new releases for the week of 10-15-2014

Death of Wolverine #4 is finally here, along with some pretty neat books to go with it.

Death_Of_Wolverine_#4Charles Soule and Steve McNiven have delivered a well-crafted story about Wolverine’s final days. Every issue has been a sell out and this one looks to be no different. Though we’re sure he’ll be back sometime, for now the death is final. You can chalk it up as a publicity stunt or enjoy it for the great read it is.

While the above is all you need to read this week, we’ve got some supplemental books to go with it, including Death Of Wolverine Logan’s Legacy #1.

Death_Of_Wolverine_Logan_Legacy_#1There will be quite a few aftermath stories popping up, but this is the key title written by Charles Soule himself. It’s a seven issue mini series that will follow the people most affected by Wolverine’s Death and Legacy, X-23, Sabretooth, Daken, Lady Deathstrike and Mystique.

Also this week, will be an extra sized issue of Wolverine and The X-Men #10.

Wolverine_And_The_X-Men_#10One of two issues that will be dedicated to short stories of Logan’s pal’s reminiscing about their relationship’s with him. Both issue will feature a who’s who of writer’s and artists.

Storm_#4Ororo cleans up some of Logan’s old business with Yukio. Written by Greg Pak.

On a different note, Deadpool gets a new mini-series this week, with Deadpool Art of War #1.

Deadpool_Art_Of_War_#1Fan favorite Peter David writes his first four issue Deadpool mini-series with a take on Sun Tzu’s Art of War.

Haven’t read MS Marvel yet? This is the week to pick up the first graphic novel!

Ms_Marvel_GN_Volume_OneG. Willow Wilson writes a fun, complex superhero story featuring a 14 year old Muslim superhero. This book is at the forefront of the new movement of empowered female characters from Marvel Comics. It’s the only Marvel book to sell more copies digitally than in print, due to globalization.
