NOT-AT-COMICON SALE and New Releases for 7-19-2017

Well, San Diego Comicon is upon us, and we can all expect a week of hunting for awful copies of the latest trailers of YouTube before then man takes them down. But the bright side of being stuck in Cleveland is our yearly NOT-AT-COMICON Sale!

NOT-AT-COMICON

From Thursday July 20th to Sunday July 23rd, dig through thousands of back issues at liquidation prices. The highlight of which is 50% off all back issues, and about 60,000 books priced at only $1.00 each. These are books from our storage locker, unprocessed collection, our back room inventory, and the recently acquired York Comics stock. All a buck, unless you buy in increment of 100 then the price goes down to 50 cents each. Be sure to allow yourself some time to dig dig dig. Here’s all the info on this year’s sale:  http://www.cnjcomics.com/site/2017/07/not-at-comicon-summer-sale-at-cnjcomics-7-20-through-7-23/

Comicon’s not really about comics anymore, but we sure are.

NEW BOOKS

But before all that, we’ve got a full new comic day to get through on Wednesday, July 19th, 2017. Historically, this is always a big week for new comics what with the aforementioned circus in California.

(For the record, we do love a good comicon, and occasionally it’s even in San Diego.)

First we’ve got a few cool freebies with the purchase of any new Marvel Comic.

Having trouble figuring out what’s going on with Marvel upcoming Generations and Legacy titles? We’ve got a free magazine to help you sort through it. (Heads up, it all starts with Generations Banner Hulk and The Totally Awesome Hulk One Shot on 8-2-2017)

Second, we’ve got a little glow in the dark cosmic cube to light up your day and make your every wish come true.

Just don’t be a dick about it and use it to screw up reality like the Red Skull does on regular basis.

Jeez, you’d think holding it over your head is how you activate it or something. Settle down Skull!

So what kind of new Marvels are coming out this week to help you qualify for these two free items? Any new book will do but here’s a few suggestions:

Secret Empire #6. Learn the identity of the traitor and see a little Thor/Hulk fight!

Mighty Thor #21. See all three Thor’s rally together!

Astonishing X-Men #1. New series by Dead of Wolverine writer Charles Soule with art by Young Avengers artist Jim Cheung! All the X-Men’s bad-asses on one team! (So yes, no Cyclops.)

If you want to dip into the world of Justice League before the movie comes out on November 17th, DC’s just released a slew of $1.00 editions of Rebirth #1 issues for Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, Flash, Superman and Justice League.

Here’s that trailer again, with a new brief Flash intro:

Okay, get your lists together and get ready to rumble with those disorganized $1.00 bins! If you are at Comicon this week, enjoy yourself you lucky SOB. 😉
