Holiday Art Show at CNJComics Dec 15th-19th

It’s only a little over a week away! Our Holiday Art Show to benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank begins on Wednesday, December 15th!

We’ve been rounding up submissions but there’s still time to do a cover and support the cause. The due date is Sunday, December 12th, so that we have a few days to scan the covers and get the show together. You can pick up a free blank cover at the shop, just ask at the counter.

This year’s theme is “What If…?” which has a lot of possible directions it can be taken in. Here are a few of this year’s submissions:

Stop by the shop between December 15th and the 19th and check out the covers in the foyer next to the shop. Covers are won through a basket raffle system where one dollar gets you one ticket towards the cover of your choice! Just buy the tickets at the counter, write your name and contact number on them and drop them in the numbered bag that matches the cover you want. It’s that simple!

All funds collected go to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, which has the uncanny ability to turn one dollar into four full meals for those in need!

We will draw the winner in a Facebook Live Stream on Sunday the 19th at 6 pm.

You do not need to be in the stream to win, but it sure is fun to watch! Pour yourself a drink and enjoy time with the entire staff as the whole thing becomes a variety show of sorts.

We will post a gallery of all the artwork on Facebook on Saturday night (the 18th) so that on Sunday the 19th from noon until 5 pm you can call in your tickets orders from afar. Just call 216-252-0606 and have your credit card or PayPal info ready. We can put the tickets towards cover you pick or we can randomly through them in there.

This is one of the most important things we do all year, as we pull everyone together for a greater purpose, helping those that need it. From artists to customers you are all awesome and our gratitude is off the hook. We know everyone likes to do something for others during the season, well here’s a way to help and maybe even win a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork too! Last year you helped the Food Bank to create 20,360 meals, a new record for the event.

We will also have a Holiday Sale from the 15th to the 24th, with 50% off all back issues and 10% off everything else!
