Hey everyone! John here with a quick recap of this weekend!
All weekend long will be our Black Friday Sale! These are the hours we will be open:
- Friday: 12-8pm
- Saturday: 10-7pm
- Sunday: 12-5pm
We no longer have the late-night event on Fridays due to supply issues getting the graphic novels we would usually use as raffle prizes.
We do, however, have a surprise for everyone!
So, as a special bonus for shopping with us this weekend, we took four of our most popular 11×17 lithographs and reprinted them without any text. All four have elements of Cleveland hidden in them. See Spider-Man getting his alien symbiote from Secret Wars #8 in the Flats! Watch Wolverine cut his way through the Hellfire Club in X-Men #133 on East 4th Street! Observe Scott and Jean’s final showdown from X-Men #137 in Public Square! Witness Phoenix rises from the flames in X-Men #101 above Lake Erie! These four prints are FREE with any purchase all weekend long! (We will also be giving them away at Genghis Con as well.) This is our way of reminding everyone to #ShopSmall this holiday season!
This weekend’s sales include:
- 50% off back issues!
- 20% off statues and action figures!
- 10% off everything else in the shop!
We also have the foyer filled with overstock at only 50 cents each, no minimum is necessary to get the 50-cent rate this time! This may be the last time you get to dig through some of these books because we need to liquidate them to make room for more inventory. Make the most out of this opportunity!
Saturday is Small Business Saturday, and one of the best things you can do for any small business you love is to give them a shout-out on the day on social media!
Be sure to #shopsmall on Saturday, even if it’s not with us!
Our sale will continue on Sunday, and we will also be set up at Genghis Con!
This is also a great place to pick up a blank cover for our holiday art show to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank! More info on that here!
Oh yeah, check out these great staff pictures by Laura Wimbels! This is the crew that is there for you all year long to help you fill your comic book needs!
Lastly, and most importantly, our heart goes out to the family our my fellow Cleveland Firefighter Johnny Tetrick.
He was everything you’re hearing about, a good friend and father with an incredible work ethic. I try to make sure I’m in my shop on Small Business Saturday, but this year I’ll be down at his funeral, paying my respects with my brothers. Everyone, please, give emergency workers on the highway some working room now and forever.
I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and we hope to see you this weekend at the shop.
