- We’ll be raffling off 50 Hardcover graphic Novels at a rate of 5 every half hour! (These are good books like $50 Dollar DC Archives! No Junk!)
- You get a raffle ticket for every 10 dollars you spend and the tickets stay in there all night long! YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN! This greatly increases your chances of winning if you stick around! We also do other random raffles throughout the night for fun stuff when the mood hits us!
- We also pick for a hundred dollar gift certificate at midnight!

Today I called someone to have my air conditioning serviced as there was an issue where the house simply is not cooling down enough.. anyone in Cleveland area of late can likely understand this all too well. Anyway, as we’re talking he mentions the person he works for a lot who is the brother-in-law of My friend and co-worker… said individual owns a restaurant in Cleveland on 40th. I tell him I am not familiar with it and he relates that the restaurant scenes in American Splendor were filmed there. I smile and nod and relate that the comic shop scenes were filmed with our own Carol and John’s.
He laughed and began talking about Free Comic Book Day and the lines down the way, how he doesn’t attend too often but he has a few comics he cherishes such as Felix # 1. It was a pleasant conversation about a medium of entertainment that we, two people with otherwise nothing in common, shared.
It’s just funny how things come about
