You knew it was bound to happen sooner or later! A site Updatel featuring our shop’s love of Matt Fraction and David Aja’s Hawkeye!

This week’s we’ve got a new issue of Hawkeye along with a cool new Marvel Select Action figure. (like, really, really cool)

"Hawkeye_15"

• The brothers Barton double down against the bad guys as the Clown lays siege to their building. Can Hawkguy keep everyone safe against a killer nobody’s even seen yet?

• What happens when you’re locked up with your loser big brother for like a week straight?

• You go nuts, right? Clint goes a little nuts.

And here’s the aforementioned awesome action figure. Only $24.99 and it’s even got Ultron in the base. (The villain from the upcoming Avengers 2 movie!)

Hawkeye is the book that the staff universally loves, it’s the kind of book that makes you want to read more comic books and is a great example of what the medium is capable of. (And it’s only $2.99 an issue.) Here’s a great little CBR article: FRACTION GOES COAST TO COAST WITH “HAWKEYE”

To catch everyone up we’ll make sure we have copies of both Hawkeye Graphic Novels in stock along with the Hawkeye Hardcover.

Hawkeye Volume One contains issues #1-5 plus Young Avengers Presents #6 for only $16.99.

Hawkeye Volume Two contains issues #6-11 for only $16.99.

The Hawkeye Hardcover contains both of the above graphic novels in a handsome hardcover for only $34.99! (Looks great on your shelf)

We’ll also make sure we have as many individual issues as possible, including the second print of issue #11, the classic pizza dog issue!

If the world of Hawkeye seems overwhelming, it’s not. Stop in and ask a staff member for help, see how excited they get at the question.

Just for fun, Hawkeye #15 will also have a 1:25 Lego Variant and a 1:100 Lego Sketch Variant based on the art from issue #2.

And, for all you fans of Hawkeye already, we’ve got a special history lesson this week!

"Hawkeye_hardcover"

I bought up a bunch of liquidated Hawkeye Hardcovers containing the first appearance of Hawkeye in Tales Of Suspense #57, the original four issue Hawkeye MIni Series from 1983, the coolest Hawkeye story ever in Avengers #189 (so cool that my mother put the cover of this issue on my birthday cake when I was 9) and other Hawkeye related stuff! This Hardcover retails for $24.99, but we’ll have it available for only $10 while supplies last!

The hot book from All New Marvel NOW this week is the relaunch of The Fantastic Four from James Robinson and Leonard Kirk!

"Fantastic_Four_1"

“THE FALL OF THE FANTASTIC FOUR” PART 1

The world’s greatest comics magazine begins anew with Marvel’s First Family, the Fantastic Four! But as the brilliant MR. FANTASTIC, the compassionate INVISIBLE WOMAN, the ever lovin’ THING & the hot-headed HUMAN TORCH embark on a strange mission, they aren’t met with new beginnings, but an untimely end! As the family of cosmic explorers head towards their darkest hour, who could possibly be behind their downfall? And how is one of their oldest enemies, the sadistic dragon known as Fing-Fang-Foom involved? Prepare for the fantastic!

Also this week from Marvel are the final issue of Cataclysm Ultimates Last Stand #5 by Bendis, Deadpool #24, Miracle Man #3, Wolverine Origin II #3, Superior Spider-Man #28, Uncanny Avengers #17 (I consider Uncanny Avengers to be one of the best titles out there) Wolverine #2, and Guardians of the Galaxy #12!
