Here’s our selected new comic releases for the week of July 16th, 2014!

Even if you can’t make it to San Diego for Comic-Con International this year, you can go in spirit with Harley Quinn!

"Harley_Quinn_Invades_Comicon"The Harley Quinn Invades Comic-Con Special features Harley working her way through the insane world of the comic ‘conventioning’. Featuring story and art by the quintessential Harley artist herself, Amanda Conner! There will also be a blank sketch cover of this issue. (for convention sketches of course.)

Speaking of Batman’s 75th, two special hardcovers come out this week commemorating this momentous event.

"Joker_A_Celebration"Batman A Celebration of 75 Years and Joker A Celebration of 75 Years are two deluxe hardcovers featuring the best stories from each character at just $39.95 each and obviously drawing on 75 years of storylines.

Original Sin is running successfully over at Marvel, with a new issue and some pretty impressive crossovers this week!

"Original_Sin_6"Original Sin #6 will be out continuing the core Jason Aaron and Mike Deodato storyline. We’ll also have Nova #19, Original Sin #3.2 (continuing the Iron Man / Hulk plot line) and Uncanny X-Men #23 featuring the Last Will of Professor X!

"Original_Sin_32"The Original Sin Crossovers have all been really well executed, breathing fresh air and secrets into many Marvel titles. While none are required reading, I recommend following up on the threads that interest you. Odds are you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Get out your black armbands, as Life With Archie #36 features the DEATH OF ARCHIE!

"Life_With_Archie_36"Already sold out at the distributor level, Life With Archie #36 is part one of a two-parter detailing the Death of Archie Andrews. Part two will be a one year later story due out next week. The media attention to this one is huge and it’s going to be tough to get.

Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley is back with Seconds!

"Seconds"Seconds is a complex and novelistic standalone story about a young restaurant owner named Katie who, after being visited by a magical apparition, is given a second chance at love and to undo her wrongs. Full color and only $25.00! This is actually pretty huge news.

James Marsters writes a brand new original hardcover from Dark Horse, Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Spike Into The Light!

"BTVS_Spike_Into_The_Light"He played Spike on the show, and now James Marsters writes a poignant but action-packed story of the vampire who chose to have a soul, and now has to deal with his past while being compelled to play the hero. Only $14.99!

Lastly, The Guardians Of The Galaxy Pop Fun’s are in!

"Groot_Pop"This week we’ll finally have Drax, Starlord, Gamora, and Groot in stock! (Rocket’s been delayed a few weeks) $10.99 each and also pretty limited.

That’s it for this week! Stay tuned for full Batman Day Information and we’ll see you this week at the comic shop!
