Here’s the news for the week of August 26th 2015!<\/p>\n

JACK KIRBY<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

We’ll have our regular batch of new releases on Wednesday August 26th (and there’s some really great stuff coming out too!) but more importantly this weekend we’ll be celebrating the 98th birthday of Jack Kirby, in conjunction with Jack’s granddaughter Jillian Kirby and the Kirby 4 Heroes Initiative!<\/p>\n

HERO INITIATIVE\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Every year since 2012 Jillian has worked with an ever expanding network of comic shops to raise awareness about her grandfather and to collect donations for the Hero Initiative<\/a>, a non profit dedicated to helping veteran comic book creators in need of financial assistance. Funds collected across the country will be given to Jillian so she can make one giant donation in honor of her grandfather.<\/p>\n
