Alright! We’re back in\nbusiness after FCBD and we’ve got a huge week full of amazing stuff. (This is\nlikely my favorite week of 2019!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Batman Last Knight on\nEarth will be the culmination of all of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s work on\nBatman!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a new three issue\nDC Black Label mini series, just like Batman Damned. (you know, the one with\nthe…) Batman works his way through a devastated DCU landscape with Joker’s\nhead in tow. They say this is their final Batman story together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

$5.99 prestige format.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another much\nanticipated book is the Superman Leviathan Rising Special!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s up to Superman’s\nfriends to save him from Leviathan! This will be Matt Fraction’s DC debut with\nJimmy Olsen, as well as Greg Rucka’s take on Lois Lane, all wrapped in a story\nby Brian Bendis. Fraction’s beloved in the industry and Rucka is know for\nincredibly powerful female characters. Some books are worth the $9.99 price\ntag. Oversized and prestige format. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of DC’s other top\nsellers come out this week as well, Doomsday Clock #10 and Heroes in Crisis #9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This book is\neverything it was built up to be. Alan Moore be damned, Johns is doing a great\njob combining the Watchman and DCU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This is the final\nissue of Heroes in Crisis, Tom King’s dissection of superheroes and PTSD.\nReally bleak and really good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marvel Books<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We made a big deal\nabout Immortal Hulk in our last email, ordered a bunch of graphic novels, then\nDiamond lost the shipment. Well, we have them now, as well as a new issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week Marvel\ncontinues their original Star Wars run from the 1980’s continuing the original\nnumbering at #108!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jaxxon’s supposed to\nbe in it for Pete’s sake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ed Piskor’s fantastic X-Men history continues in the final two-part X-Men Grand Design X-Tinction #1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Piskor is an indie\nmadman who became famous for his Hip Hop Family Tree Comics. When ask which\nfans were more judgemental about his books, comics fans or Hip Hop fans, Piskor\nsaid both come with very different consequences if he gets something wrong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Image, Dark Horse, and Boom!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We also got copies of Walking Dead #191 2nd print this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not really a\nspoiler, because it’s been well publicized, but Rick was critically injured in\nthis issue, and he is slated to die in issue #192 next month. Catch up on this\nissue while you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dark Horse has a new four-issue Stranger Things mini-series, this time spotlighting Six and her history before the first season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BOOM Studios had a\nhuge hit with it’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer modernization, and their take on\nAngel will likely be just as popular. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angel #1 is out this\nweek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s it’s! More than\nenough stuff to warrant a trip to the shop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
