DC COMICS
A new Dawn of DC six-issue miniseries written by Michael Dorn, the voice of Steel in Superman: The Animated Series, with art by Sami Basri, starts with John Henry Irons and his company, Steelworks opening a new headquarters in Metropolis. His plan is to give power to the people of the city, so that they don’t have to rely on the supers, and so he may be able to give up being Steel once and for all. But, of course, things don’t go according to plan, when a new baddie shows up who wants revenge, and who possesses secrets that could undo everything John has worked to build.
This special one-shot showcases twelve stories created out of the Milestone Initiative and is some of the first published work of the 12 writers, and 12 artists picked to hone their skills with Milestone Universe characters. The culmination of a 10-week training program, these stories are the products of the long-term assignments given to each of these creators, picked from their own pitches. The “Family Values” story is drawn by Miguel C. Hernandez, who is from Cleveland! He teaches comics workshops and illustration classes in the greater Cleveland community, so pick up a copy to support a local artist!
