Andrea’s Knock Out Picks for 10.08.2025
Hi Comic Shop Boils and Ghouls! We’ve got some fun stuff happening the next few weeks!
First, you probably saw John’s Facebook post, but we are stocked with a collection of Bowen statues! For the week, our usual back issue wall will be showcasing the busts and mini statues, and we’ve updated the case to feature them all. The Gallery statues that were in the case are now in their boxes above the graphic novel wall.
If you get three or more of the Bowens, they’re 25% off!
This Thursday, the 9th, we’ll be at the Great Lakes Science Center for the Best of Cleveland event! This is a ticketed event, but if you’re going, we’ll see you there!
We’ll have the photo booth set up again, and will have some freebies to hand out. Thanks to those of you who voted for the shop in Scene’s Best of 2025!
Thursday the 16th! It’s time for Late Nite Comics again! This time it’s the Small Press Edition! Tons of new dollar stock and 50% off back issues! 8pm to midnight!
On Tuesday, the 21st from 6pm to 9pm is the 100th NEO-TACC meet up! The shop is a sponsor, so NEO-TACC will have some Carol and John’s gift certificates to give away! We’ll have staff tables, so come out and see what John Dudas, John Shearer, Ben, Kevin, and I have culled from our collections! (Mine will be mostly Buffy action figures, with some Army of Darkness and Lord of the Rings collectibles. If you’re looking for a Mimi from the Drew Carey Show doll, I’ve got one for sale!) We never get a chance to go to these meet-ups because they’re Tuesday nights, so we’re excited to finally get to! It’s at the Strongsville Best Western, and there’ll be over 50 vendors!
Because we’ll all be there Tuesday night, the 21st, our plan for the usual Facebook live video will be to record it Monday night, and then we will post it to Facebook and YouTube around our usual time of 8:30pm on Tuesday. That means we won’t get to your comments until the morning on Wednesday, the 22nd, so thank you for your patience in advance!
Saturday the 25th is Trick or Read all day in the shop! Trick or treat yo self to some free comics! Come in costume or make a purchase and you can pick from this year’s Trick or Read comics for all ages! Of course we’ll have candy, and as a special treat, back issues will be 50% off! Happy Halloween!

They must enter a deadly tournament, and only one will become the champion. That champion will have the power to remake the DC Universe in a new timeline, but the closer they get to the Heart of Apokolips, the more corrupted they may become, turning more dangerous. Oh boy… We’re heading toward a final showdown between Batman and Bane, and I cannot wait. With the venom coursing through him, will Batman be able to hold on to his humanity? Or will he become another Ark M monster? This issue is also the full debut of Absolute Catwoman, and another first appearance of a fan-favorite character.
