Marvel Universe Live Ticket Raffle at CNJComics
Marvel Universe Live is coming to Cleveland, and we’ve got FREE comics and stickers to give away, as well as free tickets to raffle off!
Stop in the shop between Wednesday September 16th and Sunday September 20th and you’ll receive a raffle slip with any purchase! Winners will be drawn at 5pm on Sunday. We’ve got six sets of tickets to raffle off, and tickets can be redeemed at the box office for any day of the show, which is running from October 1st to the 4th.
We’ve also got Marvel Universe Live Prelude comics to give away, as will as Marvel Universe Live Stickers specifically for the Quicken Loans Arena Show.
These comics and stickers will also be FREE with any purchase while supplies last starting on Wednesday. We’ve got 100 and I suspect they will all go on Wednesday, so plan your trip to the shop accordingly.
From someone who’s first memory is the Superfriends Waterski show at Sea World when I was four, I’m excited to take my daughter to this event while she’s the same age. Here’s more information about the show including a video!
This week’s book of the week is Captain America White #1 by Jeff Loeb and Tim Sale!
Loeb and Sale are the team who brought you Spider-Man Blue, Dardevil Yellow and Hulk Grey, as well as Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory, and Superman: For All Season. This five issue mini goes back in time and tells a Cap and Bucky story from World War II.
This week’s top indie book has some talent behind it as well, Tokyo Ghost #1 by Rick Remender and Sean Murphy.
“The Isles of Los Angeles 2089: Humanity is addicted to technology, a population of unemployed leisure seekers blissfully distracted from toxic contamination, who borrow, steal, and kill to buy their next digital fix. Getting a virtual buzz is the only thing left to live for. It’s the biggest industry, the only industry, the drug everyone needs, and gangsters run it all.
And who do these gangsters turn to when they need their rule enforced? Constables Led Dent and Debbie Decay. This duo is about to be given a job that will force them out of the familiar squalor of Los Angeles to take down the last tech-less country on Earth: The Garden Nation of Tokyo.”
That’s all for this week. On a personal note, my second daughter Luna should be “arriving” on Wednesday as well. Wish us luck! Thanks Cleveland!
