Carol and John’s Comic Shop offers both subscription services and special orders.
Subscription Service:
We feature an in-store subscription service to make sure you receive all the new comics you collect on a weekly basis. Stop by the shop and let us know what titles you’d like to add to your pull list, and we’ll start pulling them! You can add on or take off titles anytime you’d like, and you can request specific variants as well. Just let us know as soon as possible so we can get your requests filled before our final order cutoff! Whether you’d like just the main title, or you’d like all the tie-ins or crossovers, we have you covered! Files are expected to be picked up at least once a month, and we’ll usually start you off on our notification service where you’ll get a call, text, or email to let you know you have new comics to let you get used to the routine.
Special Orders:
Don’t see what you’re looking for? We’ll happily check our distributors’ websites and if it’s in stock we can order it in for you! We’re able to order both single issues and graphic novels. We submit reorders every Sunday night, and they’re usually in the shop by the following weekend.
Previews:
Not sure what to start reading? We have monthly print previews from Marvel, DC, IDW, Dark Horse, and Dynamite that we can add to your pull list, or you can grab one while we have them! These previews showcase what is coming out in three months, for example January previews are for books coming out in March.
Want to find previews online? Lunar at https://www.lunardistribution.com/ carries DC, Image, Dynamite, Mad Cave, Bad Idea, Titan, Fantagraphics, and more small press companies. Penguin Random House at https://prhcomics.com/ carries Marvel, IDW, Dark Horse, Boom, Ignition, and Oni. You can find links to the most current catalogs on the home pages of both of these sites.
We also curate a recommendation wall stocked with our favorites and evergreen titles. You’ll find staff recs from John D., John S., Ben, Andrea, and Kevin, and rows for our favorite creators, characters, and more!
