Midnight Release For DC Rebirth on 5-24-2016

It’s not often we’re open at Midnight and when we are it’s for something big… so here it is…

MIDNIGHT RELEASE

On Tuesday Night we’ll be hosting a one hour event starting at 11:59pm and lasting until 1am.

This is the night where we see if DC Comics will sink or swim with it’s new Rebirth #1.

DC Universe Rebirth #1This 80 page giant is only $2.99 with a story by Geoff Johns and art by Gary Frank and additional artists. This will be the defining moment for DC’s future and they’re promising a last page with a shock ending. Don’t let this book be spoiled for you on the internet before reading!

If you attend the event you will also have the opportunity to buy the midnight release variant, also only $2.99!

There will also be 1:100 variants for $50 each.

The first 25 people in the door will receive a free Jim Lee DC Rebirth Lithograph. These are actually really limited.

DC Rebirth LithographTo make the day even more important, two other major DC titles are out this week that are also crucial to laying out DC’s new direction.

Justice League #50 is also written by Geoff John’s and is the conclusion of the Darkseid War story line.

Justice League #50The word is that we will find out the true name of the Joker in this issue. There will also be cover priced John Romita Variants.

Superman #52 is the final issue and chapter of Final Days and the rumor is the the New 52 Superman will die.

Superman #52It’s like it’s 1992 all over again. (We were open back then as well.) This book will have a cover priced variant that will be a throw back to the original New 52 Superman cover.

SCOOBY DOO

For added fun, the first issue of Scooby-Doo Apocalypse will be out as well.

Scooby Doo #1Last week’s Future Quest was a perfect comic book, so we’re got a pretty optimistic view of the Hanna-Barbera titles. This book has a cover and character designs by Jim Lee, and I’m pretty sure the gang goes to Burning Man, which I’m all about.

You will be able to pick up all your DC books early, as well as your Marvel books. This included Captain America Steve Rogers #1.

Midnight releases are tricky, but at the very least the crew will be there hanging out and hoping for the return of the core values that drive some of our favorite heroes. We have LOTS of copies of DC Rebirth, and we suggest everyone give it a try this week. We do worry about how many copies of Justice League #50 and Superman #52 we will have.
