Back Issue Sale and Featured New Release

Let’s start off with the big announcement, from Wednesday October 14th to Sunday October 18th we’ll be offering  50% off all back issues.

This will be the last time for 50% off back issues until Black Friday, which we’ll drag out through the whole week to lesson the traffic. So think November 23rd to the 29th.

But why wait for then when you can just come in now! (Yes we just put some books up on the wall, and they will be 50% off too.)

Back to our regularly scheduled programing!

Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, October 14th, 2020!

After the return of the Green Goblin last week in ASM #49, “Last Remains” begins in issue #50 as Kindred’s Identity is revealed!

Expect the whole Spider Family to be involved in this one as Nick Spencer’s plot threads all start to weave together!

This week is also the conclusion of the Moon Knight story in Avengers #37. What a great run!

Wait till you see who is (temporarily) the new Sorcerer Supreme and Iron Fist to bring it all home.

It’s like a dream come true (unless you’re Alan Moore). Rorschach gets his own 12 issues series written by Tom King this week.

Set 35 years after the events of the original Watchman series. We’ll be giving the first issue to everyone who got Doomsday Clock, but you’ll have to let us know if you want to continue the run.

Speaking of Doomsday Clock, you can get the complete graphic novel this week too.

With some very high highs and some meh and some plot threads that didn’t play out and an ending that made sense but wasn’t entirely what everyone was looking for. Doomsday Clock! All in all though I’m calling it a success.

You get another issue of Dark Nights Death Metal this week too.

You know, I don’t always know what’s going on here but at least I feel like I’m in on the joke this time. It’s just entertaining on many different levels with the most important one being visceral. Ambush Bug carrying zombie Sergeant Rock around is just plain funny.

We mentioned our lead story in Cleveland Magazine’s ‘Best of” issue last week, but now we’ve actually got a link to the story.

We also got to watch the mini documentary Facebook’s official Business page made last July.

We’re really happy with how it turned out, and you can view it here!

Fascinatingly it was all filmed remotely on iPhone eleven pro’s. They had a full crew in California that communicated with us to set up the lighting and shots.

Our 30th Anniversary is on October 28th, and it’s fair to say my heart is pretty full right now. Thanks everyone.

We will be having a Halloween Event from 10am to 5pm Saturday October 31st. Everyone in costume will get to pick from some classic Black Widow reprint comic books, pick out a couple Joker or Catwoman Paper Masks, and get some free candy as well! Trick or treating will be in the foyer next to the shop, and will be separate from the shop itself. You can grab your offering and run, or you can enter through the main door after grabbing your stuff to do some shopping. (People not in costume can grab some stuff too, though we’ll limited you to three free comics, a mask and some candy. (So dress up! It’s actually on Halloween this year.) There is no official Halloween ComicFest event this year so we’ve had to build one from scratch. Wish us luck and stay safe! If you’re sick stay home. Wear a mask under your mask! Sanitize those hands! We’ll let one trick or treating group/family in the foyer at a time to allow for social distancing. Inside the shop we’ve got some classic 1950’s EC reprints we’ll be selling at $1.00 each! (Nothing says Halloween like Tales from the Crypt.)

We’ll have a full email to come this week so keep an eye out for it.
