The Late Nite Comics Purge will commence at 8pm, when back issues will be 50% off, and you’ll be able to get a long box of dollar books for only $75! Every 300 dollar comics will be $75! This is the only time you’ll be able to get 50% off back issues in January, and the only time in 2025 that you’ll be able to get that deal on dollar stock! Hello Comic Shop Friends! We have one event coming up in January, and it is a big one! The Late Nite Comics Purge will commence at 8pm on Thursday January 16th. All crime will be legal for – oh wait, that’s not right… All back issues will be 50% off for four hours. We will be dragging out as many dollar stock boxes from the storage unit as we possibly can and from 8pm to midnight you can participate in the 2025 Purge! Fill a long box of dollar stock for only $75! We’re using 300 comics as the definition, so books must be bought in increments of 300 to get that Purge savings! Happy New Year Comic Shop Friends! We closed early New Year’s Eve and took the day off January 1st to get ready for you all for New Comic Day on Thursday the 2nd. I hope your New Year’s goal is to read more comics, and I hope you all cleared out your files… Even Gail Simone wanted you to pick up your books because she reposted our reminder! So we hope you didn’t upset Gail!!! We appreciate those of you who stopped in, called in to check your files, and settled up as best you could. Picking up your books regularly helps us with ordering correctly, and inventory management, and keeps us from having to close your file. We want you to read all the great stuff coming out! Merry Christmas Comic Shop Friends! We closed up shop at 5pm on Tuesday, Christmas Eve and remained closed on Wednesday, the 25th for a little holiday and Christmas cheer. This week, new comic book day is moved to Thursday the 26th. Our fan-favorite Facebook live video Christmas Eve Late afternoon so you can go check it and get a look at the new table. We’ll check comments and upload the YouTube video on the 26th. I hope you all got to enjoy a relaxing holiday! The big thing this week is that we crushed last year’s donation total to the Cleveland Food Bank! Thanks to all of you who donated artwork, and all of you who bought raffle tickets, we were able to give them $8717! That creates 26,151 meals! An extra thank you goes out to the large donations from Kamm’s Plaza management, and the crew at NEO-TAC, the North East Ohio Toy and Collectible Club! 50% off back issues will run through the end of the year! We’re counting down to Christmas, Comic Shop Friends! We’re counting down to our Holiday events too! The art show is being put together as I write this, and starting Wednesday the 18th, you’ll be able to stop in to check it all out! And start filling those bags with your raffle tickets! We beat our record number of submissions this year, with over 150 covers! We have so many we’ll have two binders full of covers, along with the display wall, full of amazing art, so you’d better check those out too! Like every year, we do a basket raffle for the covers, which means each cover is labeled with a number and has a corresponding bag with that number.
