First, we get yet another wonderful issue of Ryan North and Humberto Ramos’s Fantastic Four! The FF are sent back through the timestream by Nicholas Scratch, and are only able to briefly interact with the past’s “present”, which leads to Clarina Canady beginning a life of scientific exploration in order to help them! This Saturday July 11th from 4pm to 7pm we’ll be having a double signing at the shop, Joe Rubinstein and Danny Fingeroth! Joe Rubinstein is one of the foremost inker in the industry, and holds the world’s record for most pencilers inked, due in part to inking all the characters in the Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe over several years. The body of Joe’s work is overwhelming but here’s just a few times he worked with Frank Miller, John Byrne and Jim Starlin. Joe will be giving everyone one free signature, then it’s $15 each. Joe will also be bringing prints and artwork for sale as well! During this same date and time period, Danny Fingeroth will also be signing in the shop. Danny was the editor on Spider-Man for years (including issue #252) and wrote cult classic titles like Dazzler and Darkhawk, two Cleveland favorites. Danny is also a noted comic book historian. Oh hello Comic Shop Friends! There’s a lot of cool things happening at the shop, so here we go! This Saturday the 11th from 4pm to 7pm, legendary inker Joe Rubinstein will be here for a signing! Joe is a featured guest at the Icons Fest this weekend at the Maltz Museum to kick off their “Icons in Ink: The Jewish Comics Experience” exhibition. Check out maltzmuseum.org/iconsfest for more information and tickets. Joe holds the world record for inking more pencillers than anyone else in comic history! Including the ones pictured below! You can get one free signature, then any after that will be $15. He’ll have prints and artwork for sale, and we have a box of back issues he worked on out now.
