It’s Halloween so you know what that means! No, not trick or treating… Hallows’ Eve is back! With plenty of tricks! Peter Parker’s favorite holiday is Halloween, but his night of handing out candy gets sidetracked when Hallows’ Eve robs a jewelry store in a Frankenstein mask. Now Spider-Man is swinging across the city to stop her, but when Eve switches to a witch hat and curses him, it twists his web shooters into something very spooky! Introducing Spider-Ween! Spiders and candy and monsters and more! Everything in this story written by Justina Ireland, with art by Mike Hawthorne is a treat! Plus, what happens when trick or treaters show up at the secret hideout of the Sinister Six? A delightful Doc Ock short by Lee Gatlin happens! And what’s that hiding at the bottom of the pumpkin bucket? It’s two pages of Ty Templeton takes on the classic newspaper comics section! Delightful!

Let us travel back to the Fantastic Four’s past, to their first meeting with Galactus. But this time, something is different. Doom has found his mind inside the body of powerful men on this Doomquest through history, but now he finds himself in the body of a powerful woman! Victor Von Doom is now Susan Storm! Knowing what he does about the Invisible Woman’s powers, Doom may be able to control the outcome of this critical and pivotal moment, and ensure Latveria’s future dominance! Ryan North and Francesco Mobili have crafted yet another excellent issue of Doomquest, starting with a slightly reworked excerpt from Fantastic Four #48 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and leading to a moment that shocks even Doom! How will the new outcome of this classic confrontation change the future for the Fantastic Four? How long will it take for that “absolute buffoon” Richards to notice something is off with Sue? Where will Doom end up next?

The first in a series of Punisher Showdowns that has Frank Castle crossing paths with heroes of the Marvel Universe! This one starts with a bang, literally, as a bomb explodes outside of a Russian owned club in Brighton Beach! The club’s owner has ties to the KGB and criminal organizations in the U.S., which makes it seem like a hit, but it’s labeled as a terrorist attack. Punisher follows his intel to Las Vegas to take out the members of the Russian Mafia responsible for killing innocent people. But someone else has them in their sights – Black Widow! She’s following the trail of a Wolf Spider operative, and now Natasha and Frank have to work together to stop him before the next bomb is detonated at a casino. It’s a fight filled issue as two deadly killers team-up with explosive results in Tom Waltz and Greg Land’s one-shot!

The Green Arrow revealed! You know Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque’s Absolute Green Arrow has been extended to twelve issues, so this week’s issue #6 wraps up the first story arc and sets up some of what’s to come. The identity and origin of the Green Arrow is revealed to Dinah, but there are still more secrets and more questions to answer. Will Hector Hammond be held accountable for his crimes? Will the actions of the Green Arrow inspire change? Or more murder? Will anything stop Solomon Grundy? Will Black Canary’s power be revealed? Some questions will be answered here, but stay tuned for the next six issues, and the Absolute Black Canary one-shot!

Counting down to the end of Tom King and Daniel Sampere’s run with issue #40, the Wonder War rages on! The past, the present, and the future are all intertwined. Fate may seem predetermined, but with the Matriarch challenging her outcome, what does the future hold for Diana and Lizzie? The lasso of Death. A Green Lantern ring. Will these turn the tide? Queen Nubia has trained herself against the weapons of Man’s World, and she may be the only Amazon that can contend with the Matriarch. “You have violated our laws. And so you must choose: surrender or submission?”

Hello Halloween! It’s time again for the annual Hello Darkness Halloween anthology one-shot! Five stories filled with thrills and chills to make your spooky season extra spooky!

A woman’s homemade treats are rejected year after year by the local kids, so this year she’s trying something different, in Jeffrey Brown’s “Trick Or Feet!”

Hack’s one-pager teaches kids how to make their own paper plate masks! Return to the old ways! The really old ways…

A knight awakens. He knows he must follow a path. He knows his lost squire waits at the end. Again and again he awakes. This time something different may await him in Lauren Assour and Morgan Beem’s “Perpetua”.

A trick or treater gets an old video game instead of candy. His friends think it’s stupid, but he gets more and more invested in “Evermaze”. He must finish the game. From writer Christof Bogacs and artist Marie Enger.

Old friends reunite for a D&D game on All Hollow’s Eve after the death of the dungeon master’s father. But the campaign takes a dark turn, and things bleed into reality. Join “The Funeral Party” in Len Gog and Dimitrios Pantazis’ tale.

The Sam Raimi pull quote on the front cover bodes well for this new horror series! “Bloody, bizarre, and brilliantly built.” Writers Philip Gelatt and David Yarovesky, and artist Adam Pollina take a page from Stray Dogs and Feral and use adorable animals as the protagonists in a creepy story of a blood-spilling cult. Little goat Bronson is the youngest and smallest in his family. They live a peaceful life on a farm, but Bronson is always trying to prove to his herd that he’s more than just the runt. Their days are filled with fields, sun, fresh hay, and for Bronson, time inside the house with the youngest child of the human family who care for them. Things are good for the goats. Until one night three people show up claiming they’ve run out of gas. A demon worshipping murder cult has invaded the farm on the night of an eclipse, and they’re looking for sacrifices. To summon the demon Asmodeus they must perform a ritual, and that ritual needs as many goats as they can get their hands on. Now it is up to Bronson to save his family, and he must find the courage he never needed before to confront unspeakable horrors, death, and knife-wielding cultists! The creepiest and most blood-soaked book you can read this week! I highly recommend this to satisfy the horror loving demon within yourself!
