Hey everyone, you’re getting me, John D, again this week! First things first, come join us for this month’s Late Nite Comics this Thursday, as CNJComics gives back by donating all dollar stock sales that night to Genghis Con! GENGHIS CON CLEVELAND It’s our usual late-night routine with 50% off all back issues from 8pm to midnight on Thursday, August 21st. We’ll also put out boxes of dollar stock that will be 50 cents each for a hundred or more. As stated, all that money will be going to Genghis Con, Cleveland’s premier independent comicon, to help with their operational costs and whatnot. The con helps local creators to have a way to show their work off to the community. A Funko collection was recently donated to the shop, and all sales from that collection will also be going to Genghis Con as well. These Pops are priced to sell, typically between $3 and $10 dollars. Genghis Con will also be hosting a Drawing Club in the foyer next to the shop that night at about the same time, 7pm...

Hey everyone, John D here, and I’ll be writing the weekly emails for a few weeks while Andrea is convalescing after surgery. (Everything went fine, no worries.) I’m excited to get the chance to do this again after so many years, so let’s get going… Save the date for this month’s Late Nite Comics on August 21st! We’ve decided to continue the format of last August’s Late Nite with another “CNJComics Gives Back” theme. All dollar stock sales that night, 8pm to midnight, will be donated to GenghisCon to help with expenses for their indie creator convention in November. It’s an important cause to us because it helps local creators to have a platform to showcase their work. We love our local comic art scene, and we’re happy to help when we can. Happy fifth Wednesday, Comic Shop Friends! It’s a small week, which is nice after our busy weekend sale! Before we get to the events coming up in August, I wanted to let you know that John will be taking over the newsletter for a month (after next week) because I’ll be out of the shop to recover from surgery. I’m loving all the 1960s-themed promotion Marvel is doing! It’s a smaller week for new books, so it’s a great week to set aside some time and come shop our sale! Starting this Thursday! It’s our annual Not at Comic Con Sale! From Thursday the 24th through Sunday the 27th we’ll have 50% off all back issues, including the wall!
