The rumors are true, fans of Rick and Morty unite as the Rickmobile makes it’s only Ohio stop at CNJComics! The Rickmobile is on a 50 stop tour cruising from Cartoon Network’s hometown in Atlanta to New York Comicon in October. This mobile piece of art is also a pop up store that contains exclusive Rick and Morty merchandise that you can’t find anywhere else. CNJComics has been chosen to be a part of this historic tour! Wubba-Lubba-Dub-Dub! The Rickmobile will be at the shop on Tuesday May 30th from 5pm to 8pm and in true CNJ fashion we’ve put together an event that celebrates our love of the show. First off, we’ll be flying in Kyle Starks, the writer and sometimes artist of the Rick and Morty Comic Books, for a signing. Kyle has written the book since issue #16, and also did the art on issues #20 and #25. This means he’s the writer of the entire Rick and Morty Volume Four Graphic Novel, which collects issues #16-20. Here’s all the information on our 16th Free Comic Book Day at Cleveland’s own Carol and John’s Comic Book Shop! FREE COMIC BOOK DAY With this being the year of Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday as well as the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in theaters, we’ve decided to to make our FCBD event reflect these two momentous occasions. We’ve got dozens of local artist coming in to do free sketches, a Jack Kirby themed art show, as well as ‘literally’ tons of free comic books and graphic novels to give away. Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is always the first Saturday in May. We’re savvy enough to break the event up into two equally exciting events, each with its own character. We host a midnight release party from 10pm to 2am on Friday May 5th. Books are given out at midnight, but as you’ll see, there’s a lot going on until then. The ‘main’ event begins at 10am on Saturday May 6th and lasts until 7pm. While the night event skewers towards adults and the day event...

BLACK FRIDAY SALE Don’t like the idea of being mauled to death trying to save some money in the company of complete strangers? Come join in our longest running shop event, our Black Friday Midnight Madness Sale!!! While it’s easily our biggest sale of the year, it has actually become sort of an anti Black Friday Event. We have our event from 7pm to midnight on Friday evening, so that we are not a part of prying you away from your family during the holiday. Our goal is to provide a fun shopping experience and not some epic consumer battle. We also know that quite a few of our customers work retail themselves, and this late night event gives then a place to unwind and do some shopping themselves before heading home. Here’s all the information on this year’s 15th annual Free Comic Book Day. Every year we strive to make the event bigger and better, and this year is no exception. With the release of Captain America Civil War that same weekend, the event will have a decidedly Marvel feel to it. Free Comic Book Day is the first Saturday in May. We break the event up into two separate yet equally exciting events. Because we are allowed to give the books away starting at midnight, we have an early release event beginning at 10pm on Friday, May 6th and lasting until 2am. Books are given out at midnight, but there’s a lot going on before then. The day event begins at 10am on Saturday May 7th, and lasts until 7pm. While the night event has a different feel than the day event, both events are absolutely family friendly.
