Hot on the heels of Wizard World comes the In Store Convention Kick-Off this Saturday, March 5th from noon until 8pm. Get a first look at upcoming projects from the biggest publishers in the industry, hear from your favorite creative teams, and ask questions to special guests – all without the crowds and confusion of a regular convention. Here’s all the information on the day! Select shops around the country have signed up (and paid) to be able to broadcast this event live within their shops. See what some of your favorite creators and comic companies have planned for the year. We’ll be showing the segments on twin television sets all day Saturday. The weekend you’ve been saving all your money for is finally here! WINSTON WORLD 2016 ON FEB 26TH-28TH WINSTON WORLD Welcome to Winston World 2016! To celebrate the historic occasion of a national comic book convention coming to Cleveland, we’ve decided to have a weekend sale in case you can’t find what you’re looking for at the con. This year we will also be setting up a booth at the show as well, selling off two pallets of Marvel Graphic Novels that we bought for just $5 each. (we wanted to make the whole thing as easy as possible for us in case we wound up accidentally inebriated.) Meanwhile, back at the shop, Winston will be holding down the fort during his events Sophomore year. October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Marvel Comics has inspired us by releasing some really cool Anti Bullying Variants. As these book were limited, we were worried about the accessibility of these really cool pieces of artwork. So, working with the Scribble Nerds, we have created seven different stickers, one from each member, to help capture the spirit of Marvel’s endeavors locally.
