We like to live in the moment but it’s time to start planning for “Black Friday Week” from Tuesday November 24th to Sunday November 29th! In order to space out the in-store traffic we’ll be hosting a sale all week long! We’ll start by filling the foyer with over 75,000 comics at only $1.00 each (50 cents each for 100 or more). We’ll also give you 50% off all back issues, 20% off statues and action figures, and 10% off everything else in the shop. (Yes, everything.) During this sale a few other notable things are happening. Wednesday the 25th is Local Comic Shop Day, and that really just means it’s a good day to stop by your local comic book shop and show your support, even if it’s not us. (this would also be a great day to help us out by coming in to clear out your file before the holidays.) It’s a quick and easy week at the comic book shop before the holidays start up. Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, November 11th 2020! The big winner this week is the Punchline Special written by James Tynion IV. Learn a little more about her back story and where she’s headed after the events of Joker War in this one shot. Another fun ride is this week’s Dark Nights Death Metal Infinite Hours Exxxtreme one shot introducing the Dark Multiverse version of Lobo, the Batman who Frags! It reads like old school 90’s Lobo! Teen Titans Go has a new original graphic novel with the kids playing B & B. (Basements and Basilisks). Robin as the “Dungeon” master! Last Rites continues in Amazing Spider-Man #52. Which will also have the previously mentioned Veregge cover for Native American Heritage month. Taskmaster gets his own five issue mini series. Hey everyone, while we can’t have a Christmas Party this year, we won’t let the pandemic stop our yearly efforts to assist the Cleveland Food Bank, which likely needs help now more than ever. Help us to turn your artwork into food for the needy by submitting a cover for our Holiday Art Show!  Each year we round up our community and ask local artists to stop by and pick up a blank comic book cover to turn into a work of art to be displayed during the art show.  Covers are won through a basket raffle system with all money collected going to the Cleveland Food Bank. (Who have the uncanny ability to turn one dollar into four full meals for those in need!) Last year, with your help, we were able to assist them in creating 14,276 meals, bringing our all time total to 77,644 meals!  While in the past the art show has been a one day event ending with a party, we will now stretch the it over the course of five days, from Wednesday December...

Here’s the details on what we’ll be doing for Halloween this year at the comic shop! While there is no official “Halloween ComicFest” this year, we have managed to put something together on our own with FREE Comics, FREE Candy and FREE Paper Masks! From 10am to 5pm on Saturday October 31st we’ll be opening up the foyer next to the shop for trick or treating. We’ll be letting one family/trick ot treating group in at a time to walk past three tables, one with candy, one with comics and one with the paper masks. We’ll have a hand sanitizer station outside the foyer, masks are required, and please maintain your six foot social distance from everyone else while waiting. If you’re sick, stay home! All staff members will have their tempertarure checked in the morning, and will regularly sanitize the area (and themselves). After that if you want to enter the shop you can exit the foyer and go in the main doors of the shop, where we will keep the occupancy rating at the regular 15 plus staff....
