Winston World 2020 at CNJComics

Winston World 2020 at CNJComics

It’s that time of year again! Winston World is our annual sale timed to coincide with that other thing that’s going on downtown. Winston World is incredibly simple. From Saturday February 29 to Sunday March 8th you will get: 50% off all back issues 10% off everything else in the shop. (Yes everything.) We will be setting up at Wizard World this year, so we decided to start the sale a week early so that you can dig through the Silver Age comics for 50% off before we move them to the show on Thurday March 5th. We want you to get first crack at them, so please be sure to come in before the 5th if that’s what you’re into! If you want to see us at that “other thing’ we’ll be at booth number 330. Stop by and say hi, we’ll likely need the moral support. We’re actually launching the Wizard World in the tackiest way possible. On Friday February 28th we’ll be going Live on our Facebook site to open up some blind box cat hats, to...

New Releases for 2-19-2020 at CNJComics

New Releases for 2-19-2020 at CNJComics

Just a quick email this week as I’m on the road at the ComicsPro meeting in Portland Oregon! First up, Wolverine is back in his own ongoing series! With the Mutant Island established what does Wolverine do when he’s….happy? Art by Adam Kubert and featuring the return of Omega Red. This week we had some speculator issues.  We’re happy to say that everyone who has it on their file will get a copy of Batman #89, and at cover price too. It’s going for $30-$40 dollars online and features the first appearance of Punchline, the Joker’s new sidekick. (So essentially the new Harley.) We have no copies hitting the table as they have been scooped up with preorders. Second prints are on the way. To be clear, we will never charge you more for a (non ratio) new comic. This is also a good time to put in a commercial for starting a file. All you need to do is have five books held every month and pick them up once a month and you get 10% off ALL your...

Valentine’s Day at CNJComics

Valentine’s Day at CNJComics

It’s Valentine’s Day at CNJComics, and every year we put some valentine’s in a bowl and let you pull one out when you check out. These can contain extra discounts, free graphic novels, all kinds of sweet stuff. Stop by on the 14th and see what you get! And remember… This week in celebration of the release of Harley Quinn (and whatever they’re calling it now) we thought we’d featured female lead characters in our new releases! (It goes withour saying that we carry a full compliment of Harley Quinn Graphic Novels, Comics and Action Figure. One to grow one.) First up, appropriately enough, is the new Black Label Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey #1! The big news is this four issue mini series and written and drawn by Amanda Conner! Supercool to see her back on the character. The Joker sends ‘every super villain in Gotham’ to go after Harley, and the Birds step up to help her out. The Black Label designation means an oversized format for mature readers! While you can jump on the above...

Hosted by Valentino Luca Zullo and our own Rafael Calzada, we’ll be covering the Watchmen sequels both in print and on tv. (We may even talk about how Alan Moore feels about it all.) If you’d like a really great recap of the shows after you’ve watched them, ScreenCrush’s videos really helped me see alot of stuff I never knew was there. Valentine’s Day Friday, February 14th is obviously Valentine’s Day, and no matter where you are relationship wise, you can always stop in the shop and get a little love from us. Every year we let customers pull a Valentine from our box with your purchase, and each one gives you discounts, free stuff, you know, LOVE. Stop by the shop on the day and see what you get.
