Hey Comic Shop Friends! Welcome to August! A couple of housekeeping notes before we get into this week’s comics: First, we do have Marvel and DC previews in now, along with Dynamite. We’ve been asking you to take a look at your pull lists to clean them up, so we will gladly get you a printout to look over. We’re trying to tighten up our orders since publishers are moving to other distributors after Diamond’s bankruptcy, so please take a copy of the free previews the companies send us, and let us know as soon as possible what new titles you’d like to add. We’re always happy to make file changes for you and take your requests off our Tuesday night video, but when asking for titles (especially small press) the week of, we may not have enough or may not be able to reorder them. Happy fifth Wednesday, Comic Shop Friends! It’s a small week, which is nice after our busy weekend sale! Before we get to the events coming up in August, I wanted to let you know that John will be taking over the newsletter for a month (after next week) because I’ll be out of the shop to recover from surgery. I do appreciate you all taking the time to read this every week, and thank you to the people who mentioned they enjoy the newsletter when they were in the shop this weekend! First up! On Sunday, August 3rd, John will be set up at NEO Comic Con! This is probably the only show he’s doing this year, so stop out! 10 am to 4 pm! It’s at the North Olmsted Soccer Sportsplex on Lorain Road, and more details are on their site, HERE! August’s Late Nite Comics is on Thursday the 21st! Hello Comic Shop Friends! How psyched are you for Fantastic Four: First Steps this Friday? It looks like it’s going to be fantastic! (Haha.) We are blessed with comic book films this month! I’m loving all the 1960s-themed promotion Marvel is doing! It’s a smaller week for new books, so it’s a great week to set aside some time and come shop our sale! Starting this Thursday! It’s our annual Not at Comic Con Sale! From Thursday the 24th through Sunday the 27th we’ll have 50% off all back issues, including the wall! You can take 10% off everything else in the shop, so grab those supplies you need! The foyer will be stuffed with dollar stock, and if you get 100 or more they will only be 50 cents each! August 3rd, John will be set up at Neo ComicCon! This will probably be the only show he’s doing this year, so mark your calendars!
