Free Comic Book Day 2025 at CNJComics

It’s that time of year again! Free Comic Book Day returns to Cleveland on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10 am to 7 pm! This is our 24th year hosting a Free Comic Book Day event! (yes, we’ve been doing it since its inception in 2002, when Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film came out.) Everyone attending this year will be able to pick out 12 books from the 45 titles that are being offered. We will be using the same space as last year, the old tanning salon 50 feet from the shop. This is our favorite spot we’ve ever used due to its close proximity to the store. It’s been a tough year so far, and quite a few FCBD books have been canceled due to Diamond’s bankruptcy and impending tariffs. (a vast majority of comics are printed in Canada) Rest assured, we’re on top of everything we can do and will have every available free comic book and then some. Free Comic Book Day Updates

Here are a few quick updates for Free Comic Book Day this Saturday from 10am to 7pm! Good news! We have all of our free comic book day books in! It was a struggle this year but we’re happy to annouce that if it was printed then we have it! Over 20,000 books ready to be given away, twelve per person. (Come early for the best selection! We can’t say that enough!) We’ve had a few vendor changes, Angela Oster and Gary Dumm cannot make it, so J Christopher Schmidt is in! Be sure to wear your Free Comic Book finest and smile for the camera, Laura Wimbels will be out again taking pictures of everyone. Now’s the time to try out that new cosplay. It’s always more fun when you dress up for the day, even the right t-shirt goes a long way. Tag those pictures #cnjcomics! Andrea’s Pre-Free Comic Book Day Picks for 04.30.2025

Are you ready for Free Comic Book Day, friends? It’s this Saturday! Two days before my birthday, and you’re all getting the gift of free comics! Saturday, May 3rd! 10 am to 7 pm! It’s the best day of the year! It’s Free Comic Book Day! We are very pleased to announce that every title we ordered has arrived! There were some little hiccups with orders and distributors, but they are all here and ready for Saturday! We’re setting up in the same space as last year (the old tanning salon), and you’ll be able to pick out twelve free books from the 40-some titles offered. There’s something for everyone, and readers of all ages. We’ll have the books separated on the tables by “all ages”, “teen”, and “adult.” Also, in the FCBD room, there will be about 20 local artists and vendors set up, so make sure to take a couple of laps and check them out. Hello Comic Shop Friends! We have quite a week happening! First, this is a reminder that we will be closed on Sunday, the 20th, for Easter. But you have plenty of time during the week to shop! Come on out on Thursday the 17th for Late Nite Comics! We’ll stay open until midnight, and starting at 8pm all back issues will be 50% off! Including the wall! We’re putting out over 60 long boxes of dollar stock and they’ll all be 50 cents each! No qualifiers! This is the Late Nite Comics that is helping to fund Free Comic Book Day this year, so help us give you free comics by picking up some 50 cent books and half off back issues! Can’t make it on Thursday? We’ll also have all in store dollar books for 50 cents each all day Friday and Saturday. We should have some Superman dollar stock out for Superman Day as well! Andrea’s Freezing Picks for 04.09.2025

Hi there Comic Shop Friends! The new Free Comic Book Day 2025 prints are in, and they are FREE with any purchase. This year’s poster is an homage to Superman #233 and the artwork of Neal Adams! We dropped Superman in the iconic Cleveland Arcade as our way of paying tribute to the new movie and Cleveland’s role in it. We can’t wait to see our city shine onscreen this summer!
