It’s a great week to be a Marvel Zombie, as Marvel steals the show with this weeks featured new releases. First up is Sam Wilson as the All New Captain America! The Falcon takes over as Captain America in this new ongoing from Rick Remender. Looks like Hydra’s going to throw a lot at our guy right from the start too.
Spider-Verse is Here! After months and months of waiting (and some pretty fun set up issues) we can finally dive head first into the first part of Spider-Man next major storyline! Marvel’s pulled out one of it’s big guns to illustrate Amazing Spider-Man #9, OLIVIER COIPEL of Thor and House Of M Fame. Spider-verse originally came off as a bit hokey for a story. “Every Spider-Man Ever”. But we’ve seen the addition of Spider-Gwen, the return of Spider-Ham, and the Death of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends during the lead up issues. Spider-Man stories all share a core set of values that’s distinctly theirs, and these stories reflected that. High expectations here.

On to the featured new releases for Wednesday October 29th! Harley Quinn breaks new ground in the comic book world, with the first scented comic book in Harley Quinn Annual #1. There will be two versions of this book, regular and international, both with two covers each. Scents will include “leather, suntan lotion, pizza and a final olfactory teaser that will actually be different in the international version of the comic.” They’re actually talking about weed. Halloween ComicFest 2014 is almost here! But first let’s check out some featured new releases for the week of Wednesday October 22, 2014. IDW finally hits the top position in our email, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ghostbusters #1! It’s one of those things that can only happen in comic books. The Turtles are finally going to meet the Ghostbusters in this four issue mini series. Imagine Donny and Egon talking tech. Leo and Peter on leadership. Mikey and Ray on being the heart and soul of the group. And of course Ralph and Winston on being everyone’s favorites.
