Carol and John’s Comic Shop is proud to announce our participation in International Women’s Day! This Friday March 8th from 5pm to 8pm we’ll be celebrating all the women in our lives at the comic book shop! We’ve always prided ourselves on creating a friendly shop for everyone, but we know that sometimes the local comic shop can be a terror for female customers. We hope to break down some walls by having an evening specifically dedicated to creating a comfortable space for women as they enjoy pop culture! This is our goal for IWD 2013! We were recently asked to put together some information about what’s going to be ‘COOL” in the world of comics this year for Alternative Press and we thought we’d pass that info on to you, our fearless customers! It made me realize just how interconnected different projects in our hobby are, and how closely we are tied to the media machine.
