Well, San Diego Comic Con has come and gone and left us with some pretty cool trailers and hints of what’s to come. We also had a very cool event at shop, our first annual swap meet in conjunction with NEO-TACC! Thanks to all who came out, set up, and participated! It was great, totally cool vibe, well attended and we’re calling it a success. We’re excited to do it again next year and expand on the idea. I had a really good time with my family, which is always the standard I hold our events up too. We’re in full swing here at the shop True Believers! The 2018 ‘NOT-AT-COMICON’ sale is on! We’re pulled all the books out of our storage locker and out of the back room and they are in the foyer next to the shop for only $1.00 each! (Or 50 cents each if you buy 100 or more, so bring your $50! That’s less than a one day ticket to Comicon!)  The first thing we do when we buy collections is to separate them into Marvel, DC, and Small Press. There is somewhat of an order to the books, and here’s some tips to make the most out of your time in “The Pit.” Marvel Comics A-I and X-Z are fully in order. The boxes between those letters contain some order but are really just J-W mixed up. DC has about 20 boxes in perfect order, 8 boxes of New 52 DC’s in perfect order, and a lot that is not in order, but has never been processed. The Small Press boxes are in order by letter, meaning all the “A”‘s are...

Hey everyone, I just got back from vacation but I’ve got some important stuff to get out here right quick! BATMAN 50 MIDNIGHT RELEASE AND OTHERS First up, we are having a midnight release for Batman #50 at 11:59 pm on Tuesday July 3rd! We’ll be around for a half hour or so and you can pick up all your new comics releases early as per the publishers! BE WARNED!!! SPOILERS ARE EVERYWHERE!  The New York Times themselves even published an article with a spoiler in the title, so don’t even dip your head in that direction.  That being said, I’ve read it, it’s a good read, lots of good one page pin ups by amazing artists. The Not-at-Comic-Con Sale and Swap Meet / NEOTACC Team-Up – July 19-22nd This is probably the most excited I’ve been since Free Comic Book Day! Our annual Summer Sale will go on as spectacularly as it always does with sales on back issues, new comics, merchandise, graphic novels, and the huge selection of back stock that we’ll have set up in the extra room (thanks in advance H&R Block). BUT! This year, as a great cap off to the sale, on Sunday, July 22nd we will be teaming up with The North East Ohio Toy and Collectible Club (NEOTACC) for our first official swap meet! Here’s some featured new releases and some pretty cool announcements for this summer! NEW RELEASES Love is in the air, as wedding fever hits both of the big two this summer. This week in X-Men Gold #30 is the long awaited wedding of Colossus and Kitty Pryde, but it may not go as exactly as planned. Stay off the internet to avoid spoilers before you read this book. It’s a really great read for old X-Men fans who would just like to pick up and enjoy a single issue. At DC, we’ve got the second and final part of “The Best Man” leading up to the Wedding of Batman and Catwoman in issue #50.
