Free Comic Book Day 2025 at CNJComics

It’s that time of year again! Free Comic Book Day returns to Cleveland on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10 am to 7 pm! This is our 24th year hosting a Free Comic Book Day event! (yes, we’ve been doing it since its inception in 2002, when Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film came out.) Everyone attending this year will be able to pick out 12 books from the 45 titles that are being offered. We will be using the same space as last year, the old tanning salon 50 feet from the shop. This is our favorite spot we’ve ever used due to its close proximity to the store. It’s been a tough year so far, and quite a few FCBD books have been canceled due to Diamond’s bankruptcy and impending tariffs. (a vast majority of comics are printed in Canada) Rest assured, we’re on top of everything we can do and will have every available free comic book and then some. Andrea’s Pre-Free Comic Book Day Picks for 04.30.2025

Are you ready for Free Comic Book Day, friends? It’s this Saturday! Two days before my birthday, and you’re all getting the gift of free comics! Saturday, May 3rd! 10 am to 7 pm! It’s the best day of the year! It’s Free Comic Book Day! We are very pleased to announce that every title we ordered has arrived! There were some little hiccups with orders and distributors, but they are all here and ready for Saturday! We’re setting up in the same space as last year (the old tanning salon), and you’ll be able to pick out twelve free books from the 40-some titles offered. There’s something for everyone, and readers of all ages. We’ll have the books separated on the tables by “all ages”, “teen”, and “adult.” Also, in the FCBD room, there will be about 20 local artists and vendors set up, so make sure to take a couple of laps and check them out. Hi Comic Shop Friends! Thanks to all of you who came out for “The Bee” event! Here’s a few pictures of the staff: And get your Halloween costumes ready, because we have one last event this month! This Saturday is Trick or Read! Come out from 10am to 4pm and Trick or Treat Yo Self to some free comics and candy! Free comics! Facebook Live Sale #2 on 4-6-2020

Yup, there are no new comics, and there won’t be for a little bit. (Sort of for the best, as we’re shuttered till May 1st anyway) So, what else is going on? We hope you’re taking care of your self and staying safe. That’s the most important thing. If you’re okay, then let’s talk about the shop! Our first Facebook Live Sale was a success on many levels. We sold 90% of the books we listed by the end of the sale, which also included a gallery we posted on Facebook of the books remaining after the live sale. It also felt like hanging out in the shop on a Wednesday. The support from everyone was incredible, and with the sales we are able to keep Ben and Jim around full time with the medical they hopefully do not need for three more weeks. Holiday Party / Art Show / Fundraiser / and Sale CNJ Comics

Here’s all the info on this years’ annual Holiday Party / Art Show / Sale / Fundraiser to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank! Art and Fundraiser On Saturday, December 21st from 10 am to 7 pm we’ll be hosting an art show featuring local artists who created custom covers to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank. These covers can be won in a basket raffle system where one food item or one dollar gets you a ticket. You pick which cover your ticket goes to so you can win a one you really like. This year’s art show theme is a comic book character / Christmas movie mashup, which we’ve been having a lot of fun with.
