Winston World is Coming to CNJComics March 17th-19th

Our third annual Winston World Sale is coming to Cleveland from March 17th – 19th at Carol and John’s Comic Book Shop.

We legitimately can’t afford to set up at Wizard World, so we’re hosting our yearly sale that same weekend, and passing those saving on to YOU!

We do like attending Wizard World, and both the staff and my family will be going down to check things out, however…

WINSTON WORLD!

  • 50% off back issues.
  • 20% off graphic novels
  • 75% off discount graphic novel bins
  • 10% off action figures and statues
  • 10% off everything else in the shop (yes, that includes supplies, which we never typically discount because they weigh too much.)

You save money by just walking in the door!

We’ve also created a sticker to celebrate this incredible occasion and the fact that Winston World starts on St. Pat’s Day this year! (In case you didn’t know, Kamm’s Corner’s becomes the O.K. Corral on St Pat’s. So you can pick up some comics and dip into our ‘Green Mile’ bar scene.)

This sticker if free with any purchase starting…NOW!

Be sure to follow Winston’s bonehead adventures on Instagram @ComicCatWinston !

Wizard World was stand up enough to allow us to grant weekend passes to four outstanding families in our community! (this will be announced next week.)

They would like me to remind everyone: Each adult admission purchased entitles you to two (2) free children’s admissions for children 10 and under.

The winner of out In-Store ticket raffle was Jim Rollins, and the winner of our online like/share tickets was Josh Fekete!

We also have a code they gave us for 10% off tickets, but we found a better one for 20% off. Use ‘RITCHIE’ when checking out and buying tickets. (Thanks to Jeff Ritchie for the updated code.)

This Saturday we’ll be attending the Cleveland Concoction at the Airport Sheraton!.

As per organizer Stan Paulson:

“If you’ve never been to ConCoction before, people often wonder — what kind of Con are we? We’re an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, fan-run convention that mixes and mashes different flavors of fantasy, sci-fi, pop culture, literature, film, comics, music, gaming (and just about anything else we can fit in the blender) in order to create a unique ConCoction experience each year. We have creative vendors, but we’re not a big commercial con. We have wonderful artists, but we’re not a comic con. We have amazing cosplayers, but we’re not an anime con. We have many fine writers, but we’re not a literature con. We have lyrical musicians, but we’re not a big filk fest. We have tons of gaming, but we’re not a (strictly) gaming con. We have wall-to-wall panels, but we’re not a professional development con. We’re none of those, and all of those, rolled into a weekend-long Adventure! We keep it kid friendly during the day, and adult friendly at night. In short, where others specialize, we follow the advice of Robert Heinlein and do a little bit of everything. We change things. We adapt. We try to make it better every year. We hope that this lets you, dear fans, come and share not just the things you love most, but perhaps find new and interesting aspects of fandom you haven’t come across before. Let you fan flags fly, and we look forward to seeing you all soon!”

This convention runs March 10th-12th, with rooms available so you don’t have to leave the premises. Here’s all the info.

We’ll be attending on Saturday with a photo booth and a table, as well as hanging out all night as a staff to check things out.

Remember, it’s never too early to start thinking about Free Comic Book Day!
