New Releases for 2-24-2021 at CNJComics

Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, February 24th, 2021!

Marvel Comics

Marvel made another “Voices” one shot for Black History Month, with stories featuring Black Panther, Storm, Blade, Falcon, Ironheart, Luke Cage and Spectrum!

Here’s a cool video I dug up about the project:

We’ve got some cool indie books this week, like Stray Dogs #1, a very Disney Animation adn Don Bluth inspired project.

I wasn’t sure how to order this book, billed as Lady and the Tramp meets Silence of the Lambs, but it looks really cool.

Here’s another video!

With Walking Dead over and Saga on hold, Crossover by Donny Cates is our best selling indie title!

It’s the comic book about collecting comic books! Super fun if you’re not already reading it, we’ve got issues #1-3 in stock as well.

Looking for a new graphic novel? Try James Tynion IV’s (Something is Killing the Children) Department of Truth.

What if every conspiracy you’ve ever heard was true? Issues #1-5 for only $9.99 and issue #6 comes out this week as well!

DC Comics

This is DC’s last week for Future State books, and last week’s Superman Worlds of War #2 was one of our favorite issues. That leads into this weeks Superman House of El One Shot, which is also the first appearance of the Red King.

Every so often the world of superhero movies blows my mind, and that’s happening with the Peacemaker, set to be in the new Suicde Squad movie as well as his own HBO Max series.

“The man who loves peace so much he’s willing to kill for it.” These were some of the first comics I ever read from Charlton in the mid 70’s.

Well, you get to see a little Peacemaker in this week’s Suicide Squad #2.

We’ve got the follow up issue to the previous Generations One Shot, this time called Generations Forged.

An unlikely team of 1939 Batman, Kamandi, Superboy, Steel, Starfire, Sinestro, Booster Gold, and Dr. Light.

The stories in Batman Black and White have been stellar, and this issue looks to be no exception.

Ironically featuring a story by John Ridley and Olivier Coipel, who are also doing a story together in the above mentioned Marvel Voices Legacy One Shot. ( I don’t know if this is the first time something like this has happened but it’s worth taking note of.)

Winston World

We’re also happy to annouce that we don’t need Wizard World to have Winston World this year! Our yearly sale to coincide with the convention that will not be happening is still going to happen.

From Friday March 5th to Sunday March 7th we’ll have:

  • 50% off all back issues
  • 10% off everything else in the shop

I’ll also fill as much of the counter space as I can with $1.00 stock, and I will sell them for 50 cent each for 100 or more! (I will also keep refilling anything that we sell all weekend.)

Thanks everyone! We look forward to seeing you in the shop!
