Happy Holidays Comic Shop Friends! We’re all making plans here at the shop for our Holiday Party on December 17th, 8 pm to 11 pm, and getting excited for the Art Show!

A reminder that your art is due by 5 pm on Sunday, December 11th, so we can get it all ready to display on the 14th. It will be up through the party, and we’ll draw raffle winners at 10 pm that night. Raffle tickets are $1 each and benefit the Cleveland Food Bank.

MARVEL COMICS

New Miles Morales: Spider-Man series starts this week with writer Cody Ziglar and artist Federico Vicentini. Miles’ life as Spider-Man is a battle, balancing school, life, and superhero-ing, and he has always bounced back, but he’s reaching a breaking point. A new foe will change his life forever.

Moon Girl! Devil Dinosaur! Roller Derby! New all-ages Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur mini-series written by Jordan Ifueko with art by Alba Glez! Lunella Lafayette wants to help people, but now that her parents know she’s a superhero (and with hero-ing being illegal), she has to find a way to do it secretly. Her alibi organizing a derby team of other Inhuman kids, but one teammate may not be what they appear.

The two most famous clones, Ben Reilly and Madelyne Pryor are back to take what’s theirs in the Dark Web #1 one-shot from Zeb Wells and Adam Kubert. They’ve had enough, and Spider-Man and the X-Men aren’t ready for what’s coming when Ben and Madelyne (and Venom) reignite the Inferno!

DC COMICS

Dark Crisis: War Zone is an anthology one-shot with new perspectives on the various battles across Dark Crisis from the next generation members, such as Red Canary and the Flash Family, leading into Dark Crisis #7. Written by Matthew Rosenberg, Delilah S. Dawson, Jeremy Adams, Frank Tieri, and Stephanie Williams, with art by George Kambadais, Daniel Bayliss, Fernando Pasarin, Matt Ryan, and Serg Acuna.

DC has another facsimile this week: The Brave and the Bold #28. The first team-up of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern as the Justice League of America, battling Starro the Conqueror!

SMALL PRESS COMICS

Abandoning Earth for a private sanctuary in space, the world’s wealthiest people aren’t as safe as they thought. There’s now been a grotesque murder, and Elise, a security liaison, is tasked with solving the crime. But after a second murder, she’s not sure who to investigate or who to trust, including herself. From the writer of Eat the Rich, Sarah Gailey, and artist Liana Kangas.

This new miniseries from Tim Seeley and Zulema Scotto Lavina is a dark mash-up of sci-fi and witchcraft. Which-Where is an android who works for the Marks family. When their daughter can’t be saved by science, and they tell Which-Where there’s nothing she can do to help; the android turns to magic. But of course, a deal with the devil has consequences, and now she is tasked with bringing escaped souls back to hell.

In the distant future, Earth is long gone, but alien parasites known as the Operators have preserved the most savage animals to harvest bodies for organic exosuits they use to fight endless wars. The habitat’s sole human specimen, called Helpless, is ignored, but when the efforts intensify to harvest an apex predator, they make a mistake in underestimating him. Artist Caspar Wijngaard and writer Alex Paknadel create a primal vision of humanity gone wrong.
