And with women in Los Angeles disappearing, or becoming hideously transformed, is “Basil” to blame? With multiple Clayfaces, it could be any one of them, but what is their motive? Get hyped for the new Clayface movie with this six-issue mini-series, and also check out the Batman: One Bad Day: Clayface hardcover from Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Xermanico!

We were talking about how we already liked Absolute Harley, but after this issue revealing her origin, we REALLY like her. Another amazing issue from Scott Snyder, this time with guest artist Werther Dell Edera. The Robins are closing in on Batman and Harley, but she knows more about the city than they do, and as they make their way past swat teams, Harley tells Bruce about her past. About growing up in the crooked house. About the ghost in her closet. About her connection to Ark M. It’s strange, it’s creepy, and the reveal on the final pages is a gut punch.

I think this second issue gives us the hook this mini-series needs. We get more of Selina’s past with her friendship with Holly and the formation of the Calicos. After her run-in with the assailants in the first issue, she’s set on luring out the person who is after the metal sphere, and she’s using all her resources and gadgets to do it. But when she puts it up for auction, she comes face to face with her past, and with new foes. Selina’s going to need backup, and the former Calicos may be exactly who she needs. Written by Che Grayson and Scott Snyder, with art by Bengal.

Mystery! Murder! Chaos! Baraboo is a small Wisconsin town, and the off-season home of a traveling circus. It’s quiet, everyone knows each other, and the worst thing to happen here has been the recent string of garbage can break-ins the high school true crime club has dubbed the “Dumpster Dive-Bomber.” It’s just racoons, but they need something to report on, and Sheriff Calhoon indulges them. But when a headless, handless body shows up on the street, town secrets start to be revealed. See, Baraboo has multiple residents in the witness protection program, and they shouldn’t. A former marshal got lazy and for the past forty years, started sending them all there, dubbing the town Witness Point. Now a marshal, Wyatt Williams, shows up looking for someone, and the true crime club leaks a video of the conversation between Williams and Calhoon, sending the town into a frenzy. Who can they trust, now that they know some of the people they thought they knew are criminals? Created by Nathan Fillion, Heath Corson, and Soo Lee, this is a four-issue noir thriller about the small town caught in a massive government blunder, which forces the sheriff to work with the only marshal the department is sending before anyone else gets murdered! It’s an interesting premise and a fun read, and I’m interested to see who will be revealed as a witness!

The preview ashcan for this new Ignition action series was awesome, but there’s so much more to enjoy in the first full issue of Dispatched. Writer B. Clay Moore and artist Daniel Gete mix MacGyver with Die Hard, as a former black ops agent turned delivery driver is put in the middle of a terrorist attack. Ben’s route includes a corporate office park, and today’s deliveries are huge. He wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary, and he wasn’t expecting to use the skills from his former life, but now he’s the only chance the office employees have of getting out. Using his knowledge and whatever he can find in the cart of packages, Ben’s going to fight floor to floor before time runs out. But as the situation escalates, he’ll also have to deal with intensifying PTSD. It’s an update on a classic action movie lockdown trope, and I can’t wait to see where this is going to go!

The origin of Rascal Randy! Set before Exquisite Corpses season one, writer Tyler Boss and artist Dylan Burnett reveal the secrets of everyone’s favorite killer mascot! She doesn’t know it, but this small town is the birthplace of Rascal Randy, the cartoon character created by her new friend Eli’s great-grandfather. Neither of them have any idea that this innocent rabbit is about to become a notorious killer. Someone has put on the suit. Someone has started a brutal killing spree in Aurora Springs. Is there any tie to Eli and his family? Is it a Rascal Randy superfan? Does the person in the suit even matter? This is the first of the Exquisite Corpses spinoff origin stories, with the Fox Mask Killer and the Lone Gunman coming this fall!
