Hello from Universal! I’m writing this one from the road so I’ll keep it quick! DC COMICS The big book this week is the $9.99 Green Arrow 80th Anniversary Special, full of short stories by some of Ollie’s most important creators.  Expect names like Grell, Lemire, and a really important story by Lenny O’Neil, Denny O’Neil’s son. New Releases for 5-5-2021 at CNJComics

New Releases for 5-5-2021 at CNJComics

First off thanks for a great ‘Not Free Comic Day’ event! We had a steady crowd all day, we stayed under the occupancy limits and the whole thing felt really comfortable. We hope everyone got some great deals and found some new stories. It was really awesome for us to see a lot of those small press comics find a good home. All in all I think we sold around 40 long boxes of comics over two days! We can now confidently head into the real FCBD on August 14th with enough funds to make it awesome. Zoe also got to work her first official shift at the comic shop and Carol even came out to watch over her.  We will keep reassessing what Free Comic Book Day will look like as the restrictions lift, but for now we know it’s at least Free Comics, Chris Claremont and an Art Show.  Now on to this week’s featured new releases! MARVEL COMICS Marvel has an ambitious project out front this month with the weekly Heroes Reborn seven issue mini series by...

Big win! “NOT” FREE COMIC BOOK DAY This weekend we’ve got “NOT” Free Comic Book Day, in place of our usually event on May 1st and 2nd!
