Facebook Live Sale this Sunday FBO CNJStaff

Facebook Live Sale this Sunday FBO CNJStaff

First off, I’d like to give a big round of applause for Jim and Ben, who took orders, wrapped up and delivered over 80 packages in three days. “In a world quarantined by a global pandemic, one millennial, armed with only Purell and a strict non-contact protocol, will attempt to deliver 52 packages covering over 100 miles, spreading hope and comic books to Cuyahoga County. Stay put Cleveland, we’re coming to you. (While also not coming anywhere near you.)” Thanks to everyone who gave Ben a wave from a safe distance. Can you see yourself on the map? There are offically no new comics next week, or for the forseable future, but we are still taking orders for backstock and graphic novels, delivered free within in the county. Otherwise we can ship it out to you for a cost. Just send us your lists and we’ll see what we can dig out for you. We’re grateful for the sale! Email info@cnjcomics.com or just call us at 216-252-0606. (If you call and no one is there shoot us an email.) On...

Yes, we are shut down for two weeks starting at midnight on the 23rd! We expect this to go on longer but let’s get through this week first! <it’s worth noting right away that this will be the last new comic shipment for an unknown amount of time> https://ew.com/books/diamond-comics-distributors-stops-accepting-new-issues-coronavirus/ So, how do I get my new comics this week? We have read through the Govenors orders and we will not be allowing anyone inside of the shop, we will also not be doing any curbside pick up. Last Call: CNJComics Shuttering Up For Two Weeks

Last Call: CNJComics Shuttering Up For Two Weeks

This is it! By orders of the Governor of the State of Ohio we’ll be closing up for two weeks at midnight on Monday.  Zoe tells me everything will be okay! So Monday, March 23rd will be your last chance to shop in the store for two weeks. We’ll be open from noon until 8pm.  Please stop by to clear out your file if you can. Back issues are also 50% off (and will be for the forseable future!) We will be looking at our curbside, delievery and shipping posibilities, but for now we just wanted everyone to know that we were expecting this, we’re ready for it, and to get in the shop if you can to help us out before we shutter.  Remember the advice of Skottie Young: Look for a follow up email on Tuesday and think about how you’d like your new comics handled during this time period.  We are easy to reach by emailing us at info@cnjcomics.com or a phone call to 216-252-0606! Peace everyone. Let’s all hunker down and get ready for what’s to come.

COVID-19 and CNJComics Updates

COVID-19 and CNJComics Updates

Here’s the latest updates on how we’re handling this week in relation to new comics and the coronavirus. Yes, we are open, and will be open for new comic day on Wednesday with a full shipment of comics. Please give yourself a pump of hand sanitizer as you enter the shop, we have it by the door. Also give yourself a pump at checkout, we have some there too. We will limit any excessive crowds we have in the shop, if it comes to that. (It likely won’t.) We will also do curbside pick up if you do not feel like entering the shop. Call us from the parking lot (216-252-0606), pull up to curb, we’ll charge your credit card and bring out your books.) We do considering reading material to be an important part of the social distancing process, and we are trying to help ‘flatten the curve’ by minimizing exposure. If you are sick, stay home, we also have delivery and shipping options, just contact us at info@cnjcomics.com . Rest assured that the shop is sanitized regularly throughout...

Coronavirus and CNJComics

Coronavirus and CNJComics

Hey everyone, a quick word about CNJComics and the current social climate. CNJComics will remain open and will continue to do the cleaning we have always done. In fact we’ll even ramp it up quite a bit by wiping down all major surfaces several times a day, and a deep cleaning once a week. We also have liquid hand sanitizer both at the front door and at the register.  If our staff members feel sick, they will be advised to stay at home. Heck, if you feel sick, we advise you to stay at home too. If anyone is feeling ill or is over the age of 60 (or just plain feeling scared to leave the house in general) you can call in a credit card and we’ll get your books hand delivered to your house within a couple days. (within the boundaries of Cuyahoga County.) If you’re outside the County, we’re willing to mail you your books for orders of $100 or more. We know that a lot of you have kids that are now at home for the...

Winston World Continues and Featured New Books

Winston World Continues and Featured New Books

Winston World is underway, and that means 50% off back issues and 10% off everything else in the shop from now until Sunday, March 8th. We’ll be set up at Wizard World this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so stop by and see us at booth 330. This also means that the Silver Age comics will be taken down to the con on Thursday, so be sure to stop in the shop before then if you want to check them out at 50% off. New Comic Releases We’ve got some good new releases this week, starting with Flash #750! This is another oversized anniversary issue with lots of decades covers at $7.99. Lots of stories by writers like Francis Manapul, Geoff Johns, Michael Moreci, Mary Wolfman and Joshua Williamson. Here’s a sweet 60’s variant by Nick Derington. (the above is the 2000’s variant by Jim Lee!) We’re incredibly stoked for Strange Adventures #1 this week, featuring Adam Strange (who’s a top ten character for me) by the same creative team as Mister Miracle, writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads. In...
