Free Comic Book Day VIP Raffle and New Releases at CNJComics 4-25-2018

While we’re scrambling around to put the final touches on this years Free Comic Book Day, we’ve got a couple featured new releases along with a chance to win VIP status to this year’s event! NEW RELEASES Wolverine is back, and the mystery of what happened begins to unravel here in this giant one shot written by Charles Soule, the guy who killed Wolverine in the first place.  This one shot stands on its own merit, but it also leads into four mini series in May, Weapon Lost, Adamantium Agenda, Claws of a Killer and Mystery in Madripoor.  We can’t say enough about Donny Cates’ Thanos run, but if you still aren’t in you can try out a stand alone story in this week’s Thanos Annual.  Cosmic Ghost Rider takes us on a tour of Thanos’ greatest atrocities! Fun! VIP RAFFLE Every year we have a raffle to win VIP status at FCBD. Imagine not having to wait in line! (Though waiting in the FCBD line is kind of fun actually.) This year from Wednesday April 25th to Monday April 30th,...

MARVEL COMICS Captain America #700 is the final chapter of Mark Waid and Chris Samnee’s ‘Out of Time’ story, and also contains a ‘new’ ten page story written by Waid using recycled Jack Kirby artwork! Last Minute Easter Shopping at CNJComics

Just a quick note to remind you that we’ll be closed on Easter Sunday, but we’re ready for a full shopping day on Saturday! We just got a new shipment of Superhero Pop Funs, which fit perfectly in Easter Baskets. Well, this Venompool one might be a bit too much, but you get the idea. We restocked with a focus on Diamond Exclusives, which means ones you can only get in a local comic book shop.  Here, this is better. Angry Superman. Probably angry at Batman or something.  We also have Superhero Digest books, as well as Superhero Early Reader books, again compact enough for that basket.  Magnets, pins and of course GIFT CERTIFICATES always work great too.  For this week’s new releases we have four important books hitting the table just before the end of Q1. The conclusion of Dark Nights Metal with issue #6. Another issue of Doomsday Clock, along with reprints of all the previous issues to catch you up. We also have copies of all six issues of Batman White Knight by Sean Murphy, which turned out to...

Independent Comics Day at CNJComics 3-24-2018

Just a reminder that this Saturday we’ll be hosting an “Independent Comics Day” in the shop! Why? because March is a pretty dull month except for the big green drunk thing.  All day on March 24th we’ll have: 20% off all Small Press Graphic Novels and Hardcovers 50% off all Small Press Back Issues We’ve also put together 20 boxes of independent back issues that will be only 50 cents each. These books are in order by letter, i.e. all the A’s are together, all the B’s are together etc.  Lots of these books have never been looked through before, so dig away! We’ve also got some free stuff to give away to help you explore the world of comics outside the big two. Stuff like suggested reading guides for Image and IDW, some free preview issues, and we’ve even got a box of old Free Comics Book Day books that everyone can pull some free books out of.  We love superhero comics here more than anyone, but we also like a well spun independent comic as well.  To get ready for Easter shopping,...
