BLACK FRIDAY SALE Don’t like the idea of being mauled to death trying to save some money in the company of complete strangers? Come join in our longest running shop event, our Black Friday Midnight Madness Sale!!! While it’s easily our biggest sale of the year, it has actually become sort of an anti Black Friday Event. We have our event from 7pm to midnight on Friday evening, so that we are not a part of prying you away from your family during the holiday. Our goal is to provide a fun shopping experience and not some epic consumer battle. We also know that quite a few of our customers work retail themselves, and this late night event gives then a place to unwind and do some shopping themselves before heading home. (Mostly for themselves, which is fine by us.) This is a great time to hang out with like minded individuals in pursuit of some deals and a great story or two. So here it is,...

Local Comic Shop Day is this Saturday, November 19th, 2016. Modeled after Record Store Day, LCSD features exclusives items that are available only in brick and mortar independently owned comic book shops! Just a quick note to thank everyone that came out to Halloween ComicFest this year. We gave out a record amount of books and has record attendance. AKRON COMICON We also wanted to let you know that we’ll be at Akron Comicon this Weekend, our favorite comic show in the area. Ben, Jason and John D will be there on Saturday, and Jason and John Shearer will be there on Sunday. We’re basically going down there to have fun and liquidate product, so be sure to look for us and say hi. I’ll also be one of the judges for the costume contest on Saturday at 4:30! (We donate participation prizes to all the kids who enter.) Spider-Man, Superman and the Lost Boys

Spider-Man starts a new storyline, Marvel NOW continues, some cool new Indies from Image, a solid Superman hardcover and the Lost Boys, all this week at CNJComics. Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, October 12 2016! Spider-Man’s sporting a new storyline this week that begins in Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy #1 by Dan Slott and Jim Cheung. Featuring the return of classic Spidey villains the Lizard, Rhino, Electro and Doc Ock, as well as what looks to be the return of Gwen Stacey. The Jackal has the key to eternal life, and he’s regenerating the people closest to these villains to gain their allegiance. Dan Slott wrote the popular Spider-Verse, while Cheung has done some solid work in Young Avengers.

Marvel, Mash-Up’s and Indie’s

We’re looking at the most exciting week of the second half of 2016. The return of Marvel NOW, some incredible mash-ups’ and a few new independents too. FEATURED RELEASES Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, October 5th, 2016. Historically Marvel have dominated the month of October since 2012 with the releases of it’s Marvel NOW titles. This year they’re going head to head with DC’s successful Rebirth titles, so the pressure is on them to deliver. Marvel’s next wave of new #1’s start this week! The lead book is Champions, with the millennial heroes from the Avengers branching off into their own team after the fall out of Civil War II. Avengers writer Mark Waid will be writing this book as well, with art by Humberto Ramos. It just gets better with Bendis returning to Jessica Jones in her first ongoing since the release of the Netflix series. Original artist Michael Gaydos will be returning as well. Want more?
