Holiday Party/ Art Show / Sale on 12-17-2016

We’ve had a great year at the shop, and it’s time to show out appreciation to our customers and community with our yearly Holiday Party, Sale and Charity Art Show! Every year we host a party that has gotten bigger and bigger, even more so now that we put together an art show for the Cleveland Food Bank. Showcasing local artists creating custom covers to comic books, this show is done in conjunction with Pop the Comic Culture Club and Cleveland’s local Drink and Draw. The party runs from 8pm to 11pm on Saturday December 17th, but the art show and sale will be running all day. THE ART SHOW: All day on the 17th we’ll display custom comic book covers created by local Cleveland artists. This year’s theme is ‘2016, Worst Year Ever?’ 2016 may go on record as the worst year ever. Between the celebrity deaths, environmental disasters and political drama, we’re ready to raise a glass high in the air, have a toast and be done with it. Not sure what we’re talking about? If you don’t...

Holiday Art Show for the Cleveland Food Bank

This year our Christmas Party will be held on Saturday December 17th. Over the past 3 years we’ve tied this event to an art show showcasing Cleveland’s finest established and up and coming artists to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank. HOLIDAY ART SHOW This is your chance to be a part of a fund raising effort connecting our customer base to the local art scene under the friendly banner of the comic book. Stop by the shop anytime and we’ll let you pick out a couple blank comic book covers to use for your submission. These covers are card stock and hold many different mediums well. They start off looking like this… …and turn out like this… by Craig Worrell by Amalia DeGirolamo We have many different logo’s to choose from, and some that are completely blank if you’d like to start from scratch. This year’s theme is “A Reflection on 2016, the Worst Year Ever?” There’s been quite a bit of talk about how 2016 has been the worst year ever. This is your chance to vent your angst...

Black Friday Sale on 11-25-2016

Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family and get ready for …. Black Friday!!! BLACK FRIDAY SALE Don’t like the idea of being mauled to death trying to save some money in the company of complete strangers? Come join in our longest running shop event, our Black Friday Midnight Madness Sale!!! While it’s easily our biggest sale of the year, it has actually become sort of an anti Black Friday Event. We have our event from 7pm to midnight on Friday evening, so that we are not a part of prying you away from your family during the holiday. Our goal is to provide a fun shopping experience and not some epic consumer battle. We also know that quite a few of our customers work retail themselves, and this late night event gives then a place to unwind and do some shopping themselves before heading home. (Mostly for themselves, which is fine by us.) This is a great time to hang out with like minded individuals in pursuit of some deals and a great story or two. So here it is,...
