Good morning and Happy New Comic Book Day everyone! Things are certainly getting busy this time of year, between planning for Thanksgiving and the holidays, gifts, food, and travel, and making sure I’ve got new tires and brakes for the winter; all that on top of keeping up-to-date with the newest comics! Hello CNJ shoppers, and Happy New Comic Book Day. I’m behind on all the hip shows the kids are watching these days, but I was curious and finally watched Squid Game this past week. Man, that was addicting! I liked it! It inspired me to go back and finally read Avengers Arena also. In it, the villain Arcade captures a bunch of Young Avengers and takes them to Murder World to recreate the movie Battle Royale in a game of death and survival. I just started, but X-23 is one of the players, so my money is on Laura. But in the meantime, there are some new books to check out this week. Let’s go. Marvel Comics One of Marvel’s most beloved characters gets a cool new miniseries in The Thing #1 this week. Written by novelist Walter Mosley, with art from Tom Reilly (I’m not familiar with either), “The Thing” is billing itself to be the new definitive Ben Grimm story. Raf’s Featured New Releases 11.3.2021

Howdy, everyone! Happy New Comic Book Day! Spooky season has passed, the leaves are changing, and the weather is getting colder, but there are always comics to keep you company. This week has a lot of great new titles and there is bound to be something for everyone to check out. Let’s see what’s good.   Marvel Comics In preparation for the new Disney+ series debuting later this year, revisit (or read for the first time if you’re like me) one of Marvel’s best series ever. It’s the entire Matt Fraction and David Aja Hawkeye run in one whole collection, and all for only $44.99. Along with mentioning that I’ve never seen Firefly, I get more dirty looks around the shop saying I haven’t read this than anything else. It’s that serious. Some of the guys might even say it is one of the best superhero books ever, with a great indie flavor as well. Halloween at CNJComics on 10-30-2021

Hey everyone! It’s John D here and I’m back to give you a low down on our upcoming events at the comic book shop! I hope you’re all enjoying Rafael’s emails, it’s something he’s wanted to do for some time now and I feel he’s doing a great job. I’ll try and pop in once a month to let you know about the other things that are going on at the shop! First up, Halloween! While we’re not up to having full scale events just yet, we will be having Trick or Treating for Comics and Candy at the shop on Saturday October 30th. We’ll be set up all day so stop in anytime between 10am and 7pm to grab some treats. There was no official “Halloween ComicFest” again this year, but we did manage to put together some fun books for the kids. (and for everyone for that matter.) Marvel graciously produced four comics especially for Halloween and we’ll have more than enough of each. (I always over order so I can take the rest home to hand out...

Greetings and Happy New Comic Book Day everyone! I’m your host this evening, Count Rafula, and it’s the spookiest week of the year, the week of Halloween!  Beware! At the shop this week, we’ve got plenty of new comics to get you in the macabre mood, with stories that will have you watching over your shoulder for all that goes bump in the night. There’s no time to waste, let’s check things out. Marvel Comics One of Marvel’s biggest new titles has a new installment in Moon Knight #4 out this week. While I haven’t been following what’s going on (or ever read a Moon Knight book either :/), we’ve gotten a lot of interest in this book recently and seen some new faces coming in to the shop to grab their copies too. It’s a Cleveland thing, I guess. John Dudas will be the first to tell you there is something about Moon Knight that makes him resonate well with Clevelanders. Hey everybody, and welcome to a New Comic Book Day! Halloween is fast approaching and I hope you all have some fun plans in the works and some great costumes too. My girlfriend and I haven’t been able to agree on ours just yet (I suggested Hunter S. Thompson and his lawyer from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and she suggested Lady and the Tramp, so we’re a little ways apart right now haha), but one thing we can all agree on is that there are always great comics on Wednesdays.
