Chris Claremont Coming to CNJComics

Chris Claremont Coming to CNJComics

The big new is that we’ve signed Chris Claremont to do a signing for Free Comic Book Day this year on it’s new date of Saturday, August 14th, 2021. FREE COMIC BOOK DAY We’re not completely sure what FCBD will look like this year, but at this point you can count on Free Comics www.freecomicbookday.com and Claremont doing a signing from 10am to 7pm. First autograph is free in the spirit of the day, after that it’s $10 each, which is very reasonable. We’ll give you updates month to month but for now let’s just let that sink in for a moment! Big win! “NOT” FREE COMIC BOOK DAY This weekend we’ve got “NOT” Free Comic Book Day, in place of our usually event on May 1st and 2nd! Let’s be honest, this is really just a cash grab to help us finance the real FCBD in August. Help us out! Stop in and spend some money! For the first time in our history we’ll be pulling ALL the books out of our storage locker at once for only $1.00...

“Not” Free Comic Book Day at CNJComics May 1st and 2nd

“Not” Free Comic Book Day at CNJComics May 1st and 2nd

We’re only a little over a week away from our “Not” Free Comic Book Day event on May 1st and 2nd and we’ve got some new details to share with you! First and foremost, this is not in any way a regular Free Comic Book Day, mostly because the comics are not free. There are no local artists or costumes, this is just a place holding event until August 14th, the day that FCBD has been moved to nationally.  You can even see the books that will be available then here. What will that FCBD look like? We don’t know yet, but we feel we’re heading in the right direction. We are working towards having Chris Claremont out but this is still in the planning stages. If it happens there will be an open autograph session for all the the 14th. We will likely have no more information on this until June 1st. The staff has told me that lots of people have been asking for additional details but at this point there are none. Please stay tuned until then...

Featured New Releases for 4-7-2021 at CNJComics

We’ve got some great news! We are again in talks with Chris Claremont to have him come out for Free Comic Book Day on August 14th, the new offical date for the event! Hopefully things will shape up enough by then for this to become a reality. We will keep at it and hope for the best! So what are we going to do this year on that first Saturday in May in lieu of Free Comic Book Day? Get ready for… NOT FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Not Free Comic Book Day will be an historic ‘event’ where (for the first time in our history) we will pull ALL the books out of our back room and storage locker and put them in the extra storefront (the one we usually use for FCBD 100 feet from the shop) at only $1.00 each. (50 cents each for 100 or more!) It’s got to be around 200 long boxes with a range of Marvel, DC and Independant. (especially independant, as these books are never stocked in the shop. We’ll even do this...

New Releases at CNJComics for 3-31-2021

New Releases at CNJComics for 3-31-2021

Before we start this week’s new releases it’s time again to say thanks for the tremendous amount of support you’ve given us this year. With the pandemic slowly pealing back a bit we’ve been doing great, and the only way for us to process that is to say thank you. I keep saying that the only real difference between 2020 and 2021 is that we have no illusion about doing events this year. Last year we kept laying out plans that never got to play out so this year we feel like we’ll just know when the time is right. That being said, Free Comic Book Day is being heald nationally on Saturday August 14th this year.  FREE COMIC BOOK DAY We do plan on having an event but it may look a bit different than it has in the past. We are likely looking at a scaled down and manageable event with a focus on the day portion. We’re keeping in contact with Chris Claremont and we will be ready to have him out if the opportunity presents itself....
