Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. MARVEL COMICS Well, it’s time to say goodbye to Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s Venom run, but not before the huge 200th issue comes out.  $9.99 with LOTS of covers, including the one pictured above by JOCK. This book should give us an idea where Venom will stand in the Marvel Universe from here on out.  It’s time for another Demon Days one shot by Peach Momoko featuring Wolverine’s sometimes girlfriend, Mariko.  The book also features the Black Widow, and she’s on a really cool cover priced variant cover by J Scott Campbell. The Hellfire Gala continues in one of it’s “marked as important” issues, the Planet Size X-Men One Shot. First off we’d like to thank everyone for a very successful week of peeling back the CoVid restrictions. Everyone was super cool about it, some people wore masks, some didn’t, and everyone was respectful of each other. It felt good to be able to see everyone! Hopefully by the end of the month we’ll have the kids table back up, which is a huge thing to me.  On to the books! DC COMICS First up is DC’s Pride One Shot, nine new stories featuring LGBTQIA from the DCU.  $9.99 book with the first appearance of Dreamer from the Supergirl show.  We finally have copies of Batman Fornite #1 (3rd print) and Batman Fornite #4 (2nd print) hitting the table! Lots of them actually! Both books are $4.99 each and have the corresponding download codes in them! Geoff John’s and Gary Frank have gotten back together for another Batman Earth One Original Hardcover! These books are always a hit and Johns was the writer of Three Jokers. (so yeah it’s awesome.) MARVEL COMICS This week is the debut of the Hellfire Gala in Marauders #21, a twelve part storyline in all the “X” titles in the month of June! It actually looks like alot of fun, with all the stuff you’d expect at a big party, outfits, party crashers and big announcements. (like the reveal of the new X-Men team and supposedly a major death in the final act.) You can also get two more parts this weeks, Hellions #12 and X-Force #20! Fun is the theme to this week’s new releases, with something in there for everyone! Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, May 26th, 2021! DC COMICS While it won’t be many copies, Batman Fortnite #2 second print marks the first time this title has hit the new comic table, we’ve covered all the preorders! Expect reprints of the other issues to be coming in over the next few weeks. (the dates keep getting changed.)  Issue #4 1st prints will be out next week on 6-2, issue #1 3rd prints are due on 6-9, and issue #3 2nd prints are out on 6-23. Anyone who had a preorder should have it filled on these dates.  The Milestone Universe Returns in a #0 one shot that will lead into three new series.  A protest goes bad and a new generation of heroes in reborn. Just a quick one again this week!  Starting off we’d like to remind everyone that we still have our CoVid measures in place until June 2nd. The CDC guidelines are only causing confusion and are really impossible to enforce without checking papers at the door. (which we are not doing.) We’re going with the law of the land in Ohio just as we have been all along. Rest assured that we will be lifting all health measures on Wednesday June 2nd as permitted by the Governor of Ohio. We’ve come really far and we’re in the home stretch so please help us out for two more weeks. Anyone who wishes to keep wearing masks after that will not be disrespected in our shop, do what you need to do to feel safe. Even with the social distancing measures lifted let’s all give each other a little extra space this summer until we come down a bit from what happened. As always, be cool. It’s an eclectic selection of new releases this week, all coming out this Wednesday, May 12th, 2021! DC COMICS The big book is a $9.99 One Shot Special from DC spotlighting all of their Asian characters, The DC Festival of Heroes Asian Superhero Celebration! Characters like Cassandra Cain, Katana, Green Lantern Tai Pham, the Atom, Dana Tan (a.k.a. Batman Beyond), Red Arrow, Lady Shiva, Damian Wayne and more will be featured in numerous short stories. There’s even a cool section on the specific heritage of each Asian character! Future State Gotham is a new ongoing set in the world of Batman created in Future State.  It’s also told in black and white, to give a different feel to the Gotham of the future! Justice League Last Ride is a new mini series written by Chip Zdarsky featuring the “holy” trinity of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman.
