Happy Holidays Comic Shop Friends! It’s a light week new comic-wise (There’s not even any new Image #1s!) but there’s lots of news! First, thanks to all of you who donated, we were able to gift the Cleveland Food Bank enough to create 24,900 meals! This blows away our previous record of 20,360 in 2020! Thank you to the artists who donated covers for the raffle, thank you to all of you who purchased raffle tickets, and thank you to the community that has formed around the shop. We could not have done it without all of you! Thank you to all of you for stopping in and shopping at our Holiday Party, from all of us! We also want to remind you that we are stocked, stocked, and stocked with action figures and trades! Here’s all the info on this year’s Holiday Party / Sale / and Fundraiser for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank! Yes! Our in-person Holiday Party is back! First up, let’s talk about our annual Art Show! For years we’ve been hosting an art show where local artists of all backgrounds create custom comic book covers that we display in the foyer attached to the shop. This year’s theme is “Spider-Verse,” and the show will run from Wednesday, December 14th, to Saturday, December 17th. Covers are won through a basket raffle system where one dollar gets you one ticket toward the cover of your choice. (You can also get a six-pack of tickets for five dollars.) All the money collected goes to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank , who has the incredible power to turn one dollar into four full meals for those in need! Hi Comic Shop Friends! It’s Holiday Party week, so we’re busy getting everything ready for Saturday night. Thanks to everyone who submitted covers for our charity Art Show. We have 140 covers that you’ll be able to pick from for the raffle to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank. Art will be displayed starting tomorrow, Wednesday the 14th, through Saturday the 17th, and you can purchase raffle tickets starting tomorrow. Our Holiday Party is 8 pm to 11 pm this Saturday, and during party hours you can get one item 50% off!
