We’re going to start our first email of 2017 with a road map to the pop culture events that will highlight the year. There’s some pretty good pacing to it all, and I hope we can get you as excited as we are. (Is the superhero genre oversaturated yet? Not by a longshot. I’m with Spielberg that it’s like the Western. We’ve had a great year at the shop, and it’s time to show out appreciation to our customers and community with our yearly Holiday Party, Sale and Charity Art Show! Every year we host a party that has gotten bigger and bigger, even more so now that we put together an art show for the Cleveland Food Bank. Showcasing local artists creating custom covers to comic books, this show is done in conjunction with Pop the Comic Culture Club and Cleveland’s local Drink and Draw. The party runs from 8pm to 11pm on Saturday December 17th, but the art show and sale will be running all day. THE ART SHOW: All day on the 17th we’ll display custom comic book covers created by local Cleveland artists. This year’s theme is ‘2016, Worst Year Ever?’ 2016 may go on record as the worst year ever.
