Happy post-eclipse Comic Shop Friends! Here’s what’s happening this month: This weekend is the Cleveland FanExpo! I’ll be there to see the Hobbits and represent the shop on Saturday, and you may see a few more of us from the shop around the con! But make sure to find time to stop in the shop because all weekend we’ll be having a sale! 50% off back issues AND 10% off everything else in the store! Friday the 12th through Sunday the 14th! Fill in your collections and stock up on supplies! Thursday the 18th is Late Nite Comics! 8pm to midnight! Over 60 long boxes of Marvel, DC, and Small Press dollar books! If you get 100 or more, they’ll be 50 cents each! And 50% off back issues again! April 20th is Sonic Day! The Sonic Symphony is in town that night, so John’s daughter Luna is hosting her first event! Stop in for her pre-show event from noon to 2pm! We’ll have free Sonic the Hedgehog graphic novels to give away! Dr. Eggman will be making an appearance...

Oh, hello Comic Shop Friends. John just sent me a bunch of updates for April events, so here’s what’s coming up! FanExpo Cleveland is April 12, 13, and 14, so we’ll be running the Winston World sale those same days! This is the last year we’ll be calling it that, since Winston is no longer with us, and the con hasn’t been Wizard World for years now. Half off back issues all weekend! 10% off everything else! This is a great time to stock up on supplies, and fill in those back issues you’re missing! Late Nite Comics is Thursday, April 18th, 8pm to midnight! You know the drill by now! $1 books galore! Another chance to pick up some 50% off back issues! Then on Saturday, April 20th from noon to 2pm, it’s Sonic Day! John’s daughter, Luna, will be hosting her first event at the shop! Happy Spring Comic Shop Friends! A few little things before we get into the comics: We will be closed next Sunday the 31st for Easter. Enjoy your egg hunts! John also just did a big manga restock, and I alphabetized all of those so it’s super easy to find what you’re looking for! I updated my Rec row with all Eric Powell to mark the occasion of the return of The Goon for the 25th anniversary. That means my Goon tattoo is fifteen years old now, and it’s probably time...

Hi Comic Shop Friends. You probably saw our Facebook post, but sadly Winston passed away this past Friday. From John’s post: “He died in the comic book shop that was his home. He was not alone when he died. He’d been having a rough week and decompensated rapidly on his final day. He will be cremated and we will be keeping his ashes in the shop. Winston was a fire rescue cat from the East Side of Cleveland, around East 100th and Miles Avenue, near Calvary Cemetery. He was, without any doubt, one of the best shop cats in Cleveland. We believe his age to be around 16 years old, but we can’t say for sure. We do know that he led a really good life. Rest easy little buddy.” Also from John: “I’m going to go ahead and say I love our ragtag community so much. The outpouring of condolences over Winston’s passing is overwhelming, and this piece of customer art sincerely made me take a moment and collect myself. Thank you Hope. Strong work. We have a few things coming up this month: First, John will be set up at the Harper Show at the DoubleTree in Westlake on Sunday, March 10th from 10am to 4pm, so stop out and see him! Second, Ben is still co-hosting the Midnight Rental Secret Screening, so come out to the Grog Shop on Wednesday, March 20th at 8pm for a surprise film! Hopefully, this month’s is better than X-Ray in February. Maybe we’ll get Leprechaun in Space! It’s terrible! Third, Late Nite Comics! Hi Comic Shop Friends! We’re back from ComicsPro, full of news, ideas, and swag! First, thank you to Raf and John Shearer for keeping things running at the shop while the rest of us were in Pittsburgh! We represented the Short Box King at the charity auction! Second, I want to tell you about what I’m most excited about that was announced. You probably saw most of these online already, but if you didn’t: EC Comics is coming back at Oni! Very excited for another horror anthology, which they’re calling Epitaphs from the Abyss, and they are also doing a sci-fi one called Cruel Universe. The Toxic Avenger is returning to comics from Ahoy! Based on the classic Troma movies and the cartoon series, it will be starting in October. I grabbed a bunch of extra promo posters of Toxie to give away to you! The next one-shot BRZRKR chapter will be a western, written by Jason Aaron! It’s out in June and is called A Faceful of Bullets.
