It’s finally warming up! Everyone’s out and about and we’ve got a full week of new comics coming in! Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, March 24th 2021! MARVEL COMICS The book we’re most excited about is Carnage Black, White and Blood #1, a four issue anthology of Carnage short stories.  This one even has a cover priced Gleason variant, similar to the others that were incredibly popular. Spidey’s new costume debuted last issue but this is the one that really tells the story, Amazing Spider-Man #62! Marvel got the license for the Aliens comics, and the first Marvel issue of is here! Happy St Patrick’s Day! Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, March 17th, 2021! Bendis takes over on Justice League, check out the new team full of classic heroes and new additions! Tom Taylor begins his run on Nightwing with issue #78! Tom’s usually know for his work on epic stories with lots of charcters, like Injustice and DCeased. It’s be fun to see his take on a solo character! Superman Red and Blue is a new anthology told primarily in Clark’s signature colors! With indie names like Jill Thompson, Wes Craig and Marguerite Bennett on board, this book has our attention.  I’m really excited about the Captain America Anniversary Tribute One Shot, even with the $6.99 price point. A bunch of artists redraw and modernize Cap’s origin from Captain America #1, as well as his Silver Age return in Avengers #4. Look at the Mark Brooks cover. Take that Hitler! First up we’d like to thank everyone for a very successful Winston World. We did great, and we hope everyone got some really great deals on stuff. Expect an entirely new back issue wall this week as we go back to our standard 25% discount! Also look around the shop for a few new sections, like our “Try Something New and Independent” display, where we showcase indie books that are great entry level reads the staff personally loves. This includes both #1 issues and graphic novels. Also we’ve made a display of the top 60 DC graphic novels, which we also put together ourselves. Let us know if you think something is missing that should be there! (but keep in mind quite a few books that would have made our cut are out of print.) Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, February 24th, 2021! Marvel Comics Marvel made another “Voices” one shot for Black History Month, with stories featuring Black Panther, Storm, Blade, Falcon, Ironheart, Luke Cage and Spectrum! Here’s a cool video I dug up about the project: We’ve got some cool indie books this week, like Stray Dogs #1, a very Disney Animation adn Don Bluth inspired project.  I wasn’t sure how to order this book, billed as Lady and the Tramp meets Silence of the Lambs, but it looks really cool.  Here’s another video! With Walking Dead over and Saga on hold, Crossover by Donny Cates is our best selling indie title! It’s the comic book about collecting comic books! Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, February 17th, 2021! MARVEL COMICS X-Men Legends #1 flashes back to the 90’s and the glory days of X-history! This in-continuity comic will begin with the definitative back story on the Summers brothers, as the Shi’ar return to Earth. Marvel even found two 90’s warhorses to bring the book to life, Fabian Nicieza and Brett Booth.  We’ve also got another issue of the core King in Black title by Donny Cates! Immortal Hulk has another one shot attached to it, this one drawn and written by Declan Shalvey! While not written by Al Ewing, I’ve noticed that all these one shots have been on caliber with his work on the title.  Finally! We’ve got a second issue of TMNT Last Ronin!
