Hey everyone, John D here! Andrea’s been doing a great job of keeping us updated on all the new releases, but I’m here to give you a rundown of what we’ve got going for the month of October, including Halloween! First up, we’ll be hosting another Late-Nite Comics event on Thursday, October 20th, from 8 pm to Midnight! (Always on the third Thursday of the month!) As anyone who went to the last one knows, we are now pulling $1.00 unprocessed overstock out of our back room, with some really great stuff in there that we just haven’t gotten around to processing. Crazy good stuff, and we shoot for forty long boxes at every event. Since it’s Halloween season, we thought we’d invite a special guest out to the event. We bumped into Cory Holliday at the Cleveland Haunt Club’s event, and he had some really great artwork paying homage to Classic Comic Book Covers and Horror characters. Hey everyone, Andrea’s on her Halloween Honeymoon, so it’s just me this week with a few reminders! This weekend we’ll be celebrating Halloween by having 50% off back issues all weekend, including the wall! If you just want to shop, we suggest stopping in on Saturday for a leisurely browse, as Sunday may get a little crazy with our full-on Halloween event! On Sunday from noon until 5 pm, we’ll be giving out free comic books to all in costume and even a few to those that are not. We’ve got nine different books to choose from, and if you’re in costume, you can take all nine. (that are age appropriate!) Books include Amazing Spider-Man, Star Wars Doctor Aphra, Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur, Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Strange Academy, Godzilla, Parasyte, Batman: Hush, Batman’s Mystery Casebook, and Black Adam! Hey Comic Shop Friends! First up, another reminder about our October events, then we’ll get into this week’s new releases! This Thursday, the 20th, from 8 pm to Midnight is Late Nite Comics! We’ll be bringing out about 40 long boxes of new $1 stock, and ALL back issues are 50% off! Even the wall books! We’ll have some Halloween music and refreshments, so you can get that spooky season spirit in you. Also, on the 20th, from 6 pm to Midnight, artist Cory Holliday, a.k.a. Vile Consumption, will be selling his horror movie and classic comic covers mash-up prints in the shop! And then on Saturday the 29th, it’s 50% off all back issues all day and half off select action figures! And then, on Sunday the 30th, it’s Halloween At The Comic Shop! From 12 pm to 5 pm we’ll have free comics and candy to hand out, along with 50% off all back issues, and our shop photographer, Laura, will be here to take free photos! The next Late Nite Comics is coming up on Thursday, October 20th, from 8 pm to midnight, and this time we’ll have a special guest to help us get ready for Halloween!  Artist Cory Holliday will be at the shop starting at 6 pm, selling his art prints, which are a fantastic mash-up of horror characters and classic comic book covers. You can check out Cory’s work HERE and on Instagram @vileconsumption, or stop in the shop that night! We’ll have some of his prints hanging in the shop as Halloween decorations! And in addition to the new dollar stock, we’ll have out for Late Nite Comics, we’ll also have 50% off back issues!
