Yes, March is somehow Convention Season Cleveland, to the point where it’s going to dictate the flow of our weekly email! Coast to Coast In Store Comicon – Cleveland Concoction – Wizard World – Winston World. Fun comes in many packages this month. First up is Coast to Coast Comicon, a live broadcast that we’ll be showing in the shop tomorrow, Saturday March 4th, from noon until 9pm. Here’s the schedule for the day, so stop by the shop during a segment that’s interesting to you and watch it with like minded individuals. There’s also some variant covers that were made just for the day that we’ll have available for cover price. Here’s a link to all the info as well as variant information. For our end of it, we’ll be having a pop up sale with 50% off back issues, as well as 10% off all graphic novels. We’ve got some cool product on the table and some cool specials and giveaways to go with it! Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, February 22, 2017. We’re going to hit you with the giveaway right-a-way.  Doctor Strange says… Stop by the shop on Wednesday and we’ll have a FREE full sized Doctor Strange Movie Poster and Eye of Agamotto keychain for the first 100 people. You know, to celebrate the release of the movie on DVD next Tuesday. Marvel decided to liquidate some of their Omnibuses, and we were lucky enough to put our order in early enough that we actually got some. Marvel recently participated in an overship program for the months of December and January. Bleeding Cool recently had a few ideas about what to do with all the over shipped comics. We’ve decided to turn them into Valentine’s for our beloved customers! We wound up with about two full comic boxes of extra comics, all brand new from the past two months. Image is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this month, and even more specifically on Image Day this Wednesday February 1st. We’ve put together our own celebration for the day, and we’ll actually be extending it through Saturday, February 4th. Starting on Wednesday, anyone coming into the shop (over 18) will receive a free copy of the latest issue of Walking Dead, #163. Additional copies of this issue will be available for only 25 cents each. (If you’re a Walking Dead comics fan, this is a great way to share the comic with your friends who only engage the television show.) Here’s the featured new releases coming out on Wednesday January 18th, 2017. MONSTERS UNLEASHED Monsters Unleashed finally gives us a mini event from Marvel where the heroes are unified against a common threat. Marvel is under attack by Kirby’s Monsters from the 1950’s in a five issue mini series along with a modest eight tie in issues. All this takes place over the course of three months and looks like this: JANUARY Monsters Unleashed #1 Spider-Man/Deadpool #1.MU Avengers #1.MU FEBRUARY Monsters Unleashed #2 Monsters Unleashed #3 Doctor Strange #1.MU Champions #1.MU Uncanny Inhumans #1.MU All-New X-Men #1.MU MARCH Monsters Unleashed #4 Monsters Unleashed #5 Guardians Of The Galaxy #1.MU The Totally Awesome Hulk #1.MU Each issue of the mini series will feature a different artist, with issue one being done by Steve McNiven from the original Civil War. New Releases at CNJComics for 1-11-2017

Just a quick email for some of the cool stuff that came out on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017! DC FEATURED TITLES After a great opening storyline by John Romita Jr, All Star Batman returns with an issue drawn by JOCK and written by Scott Snyder. This one’s featured villain is Mr. Freeze. The Justice League meets the Mighty Morphin Power Ranger in a six issue mini series. The first person they encounter is Batman, so you can guess how that turns out. Here’s a really great variant cover to the book as well. Speaking of Batman, volume one of his Rebirth Graphic Novel is out. This is a highly recommended book written by breakaway writer Tom King. (Check out his Omega Men and Sheriff of Baghdad graphic novels as well.) Aquaman’s first Rebirth graphic novel is this week too. It’s a little ways out but get ready for a Batman/Flash crossover in April, as these two Detectives finally start to take a look into the ‘Button’ from DC:Rebirth #1. (You know, the Watchmen thing.)
