Featured New Releases for 3-29-2017

It’s a quirky little fifth Wednesday this week with some really off the wall stuff. FEATURED TITLES Here’s the featured new releases for Wednesday, March 29th, 2017. DC does not have regularly shipping books when a fifth Wednesday happens in a month, so they have to fill the week with cool one shots and non-regular series. Somehow it all came together into a really stellar week.  Let’s begin with four one shot specials spotlighting the first team ups between DC and the new Hanna Barbera characters. Each one also has a back up story modernizing a classic Hanna character.  Suicide Squad and The Banana Splits with a side of Snagglepuss. The Splits get mistaken for criminals and locked up in Belle Reve! Green Lantern and Space Ghost with a Ruff and Reddy chaser. Expect the boys to be stripped of their weapons as well as exchanging them with each other! Conventions season is over (for now), and it’s back to business as usual at CNJComics! Here’s what going on in the shop this week! FEATURED TITLES Iron Fist made it’s debut on Netflix last week, with a slow start and a fair ending. (Jim really likes Colleen Wing.) Marvel’s timed a new ongoing to coincide with the release, with the first issue coming out Wednesday, March 22nd. Written by Ed Brisson, THE GAUNTLET STARTS HERE! “K’un Lun is in ruins. The chi fueling Danny’s fists is wavering. Is there a future for the Iron Fist? Danny Rand pushes himself to the breaking point, finding fights to prove his worth. Our third annual Winston World Sale is coming to Cleveland from March 17th – 19th at Carol and John’s Comic Book Shop. We legitimately can’t afford to set up at Wizard World, so we’re hosting our yearly sale that same weekend, and passing those saving on to YOU! Convention Season at CNJComics in March

Yes, March is somehow Convention Season Cleveland, to the point where it’s going to dictate the flow of our weekly email! Coast to Coast In Store Comicon – Cleveland Concoction – Wizard World – Winston World. Fun comes in many packages this month. First up is Coast to Coast Comicon, a live broadcast that we’ll be showing in the shop tomorrow, Saturday March 4th, from noon until 9pm. Here’s the schedule for the day, so stop by the shop during a segment that’s interesting to you and watch it with like minded individuals. There’s also some variant covers that were made just for the day that we’ll have available for cover price. Here’s a link to all the info as well as variant information. For our end of it, we’ll be having a pop up sale with 50% off back issues, as well as 10% off all graphic novels. We’ve got some cool product on the table and some cool specials and giveaways to go with it! Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, February 22, 2017. We’re going to hit you with the giveaway right-a-way.  Doctor Strange says… Stop by the shop on Wednesday and we’ll have a FREE full sized Doctor Strange Movie Poster and Eye of Agamotto keychain for the first 100 people. You know, to celebrate the release of the movie on DVD next Tuesday. Marvel decided to liquidate some of their Omnibuses, and we were lucky enough to put our order in early enough that we actually got some. (They went pretty fast) These huge editions will be sold for 50% off retail. We’ve got quite a few different one’s, but here’s four we went long on because with believe in them so much: 27 issues of Rick Remender’s Uncanny Avengers run with art by pretty much everyone. CNJComics Loves It’s Customers! Come out and celebrate Valentine’s Day with us on Tuesday, February 14th for a chance to win some free stuff by pulling a Valentine out of our party box! Marvel recently participated in an overship program for the months of December and January. Bleeding Cool recently had a few ideas about what to do with all the over shipped comics. We’ve decided to turn them into Valentine’s for our beloved customers! We wound up with about two full comic boxes of extra comics, all brand new from the past two months.
